Anyone know the running order for the show on Sat night at the O2? Cheers

Anyone know the times for the undercard bouts at the O2?
Heading down but don't want to get there too early.

Eddie normally tweets them after the weigh-in, I hope the groves and bellew fights are on after the champions league final, the only problem is if the footy goes to extra time It might not finish until gone 10pm !

How much are the fighters getting? It's generated a lot of cash and very little seems to have gone on the undercard.

Ryan Moores getting 5k for fighting Callum Smith. Or so I've been told

That's not massive money for 8x3's against an ex amateur star on PPV. I know FW would give £3,500 for 4x3's against his top prospects.

What makes you so sure on that when i know someone who got paid that amount for a 12 round british title fight that was main event on a allegedly show .

Its an awful undercard for a PPV.

we must not lose sight that Boxing is not recession proof i would imagine most of the pay per view revenue is going to Frotch and Kessler, with the promoters looking to make money out of this show. As promoters can't keep running shows for charity. But also the fans should be given value for money, when you consider that this is a PPV event at £15.99 as well as the fans having to pay their monthly sky subscription, and this is in the O2 arena which only house about 15 to 17,000. When you consider calzache v Kessler was in the Millennium Stadium in front of 50,000 and was not PPV!!! If we're not mistaken had a much stronger undercard. It just shows howe the face of British Boxing is changing...are the paying fans losing out??

Do you agree or not? Just for general discussion not a slanging match, as i like to hear the paying fans opinions.

BTW i will not be paying for this, as I am in the Algarve for a few days, and will pop into the 19th hole with a few friends to watch it. If i see you there i will buy you a drink

Agree to a point, but Calzaghe/Kessler was on Setanta, where it was robbed of a high viewership the way that he'd had with the Lacy fight. ITV didn't even bid for it.

I decided to go watch this in a sports centre as I couldn't get tickets. A fiver ain't bad and it's always better with a crowd of people watching boxing on the TV (or big screen).

It's a double-edged sword, they say they needed PPV in order to make the fight and I think there's some truth to it.

Once you get beyond the O2 and the MEN you're into football ground territory which can fall flat on its arse and has the potential to be a bit of a flop in terms of revenue.

Have just looked at the undercard for the Calzaghe fight the undercard was very poor with Maccarinelli-Azzaoui as the only other 12 rounder on the card with Cleverly-Vegas as an 8 rounder and plenty of 6 and 4 rounders,so I would say this undercard is far better imo,The main event for me is better then most of ppvs of the recent past of star v anyone like Khan-Salita,Haye-Ruiz and Hatton-Lazcarno.I know some people who only signed up to Setanta for a month for that fight so it was for them basicly ppv.This fight for me is ppv worthy these are two proven world class fighters who I think will give us value for money.

I think when its ppv we should also get the entire bill .

The Froch / Kessler ppv begins at 7:45pm according to my tivo box , so were missing around 3 or 4 fights before it even starts .

I agree. I won't be happy if there are adverts tonight. No PPV show should have adverts on between fights. For £14.95 SKY should fill the whole evening with interviews, fights, pre-fight analysis, post fight analysis etc... NO ADVERTS!

The hassle i have just had with sky whilst trying to get this ppv show has been the final nail in the coffin for ppv's having any chance of making it on to my screen.

I will be happy with a stream and if i dont find one then so be it. A spare £15 in my wallet aswell as a tidy house after having to retract the open invitation i gave out for the fight.

All this nonsense that u cant sky plus when you order on the phone but they cant get mine to work via the controller. Rip off.

Can't help but agree. If Eddie is using this to test the PPV waters in the UK, he should at least have gone all out.

I sacked off sky completely a few months ago as I just didn't feel that there was a good enough boxing output to justify the subscription. If this PPV was available online then I'd definitely get it - I actually think that Bellew, Groves , Froch and Kessler for £14.99 is decent value.

Not a great card at all, but MATCHROOM and SKY don't care.

Its better than the HAYE PPVs I guess.

it don't matter now if they don't fight both fighters have weighed in they still get paid but if they did not get to fight im sure the promoter would re-arange the fight asap
the same thing happened to my brother mark years back vs ali forbes and frank maloney re-aranged the fight for two weeks later on a different show and both fighters got paid again

Is Mark still running well, does he still raise money? He was a very good boxer and has a very good reason to be raising money, I think he'd be able to get a few quid from the boxrec regulars
