One of my all-time favorites, saw almost every fight he had in Philly, even went up to see the Valdez fight. Win or lose Perry was all blood and guts, great left hooker and all out action fighter. Probably his worst defeat was against Angel (Robinson) Garcia, who even though he was at the tail-end of his remarkable 250 fight career, he just demoralized Perry and broke his will - something I thought no man would ever do to L'il Abner. One thing Peltz did was to almost always bring in opponents for Perry who were tough and willing mixers who would go out on their shield if necessary which made for sensational and brutal combat as long as the matches lasted.
