We're not in the yard in junior school, PEDs are a poison in our sport. One day someone is gonna die in the ring as a result of someone juicing. The BBBofC need to do everything they can to try and keep them out of the game.mickey1975 wrote:I can't believe Larry has turned grass. With his background he should know better.

the line "a drug cheat and a grass" crossed my mind also but I didn't post it for the exact above reason.keithmoonhangover wrote:We're not in the yard in junior school, PEDs are a poison in our sport. I think the board should introduce a '100% Clean' campaign, which fighters can sign up for and agree to voluntary tests.NorthEastBoxingFan wrote:the line "a drug cheat and a grass" crossed my mind also but I didn't post it for the exact above reason.keithmoonhangover wrote:We're not in the yard in junior school, PEDs are a poison in our sport. Drugs cheating should carry life ban and in boxing, I would suggest, a prison sentence. That said, everybody has flaws to one extent or another.
I like it keith. Why not make it mandatory though?keithmoonhangover wrote:

It should be. If I was a '100% Clean' fighter, I'd take a piss test every day, to prove I am legit.DMA1987 wrote:I like it keith. Why not make it mandatory though?keithmoonhangover wrote:

Really Mickey? Once most guys get caught they look for the way out, there's not many that don't say a word.mickey1975 wrote:I can't believe Larry has turned grass. With his background he should know better.
But whos going to pay for that ?keithmoonhangover wrote:It should be. If I was a '100% Clean' fighter, I'd take a piss test every day, to prove I am legit.DMA1987 wrote:I like it keith. Why not make it mandatory though?keithmoonhangover wrote:

I was referring to his long custodial sentance and the hatred for grasses in prison when i said him of all people.Old bones Ian wrote:Really Mickey? The 'myth' of keeping things on the quiet , its all balls really. They either stitch each other up, or drop one of them in to cover for the whole lot. Then mostly they go online and spout ablout 'all sticking together'
The board should use the fines from the drugs cheats to pay for it.Looking On wrote:But whos going to pay for that ?
Are License holders willing to pay higher fees for it ?
fair enough mate, but i would say this is him helping the board because they are actually clueless, or choose to be clueless about the PED problem in boxing.mickey1975 wrote:I was referring to his long custodial sentance and the hatred for grasses in prison when i said him of all people.Old bones Ian wrote:Really Mickey? I think they could give plenty of samples, but they wouldn't all need to be tested. The possibility of them being tested would be enough IMO.NorthEastBoxingFan wrote:from a practical POV though who's going to test all that urine. Even the cheats would sign up to it if the reality meant they'd only get tested 2 or 3 times a year. Do they take blood as well these testers? They could put the licence fees up but it wouldn't be popular would it?
Glad the report is untrue for now, there shouldn't even by a hearing. If larry serves less suspension time thn Tony Oakey then it will be rediculous. The man was a serial cheater of PED's. it wasn't a one time moment of madness. The Law wrote:Larry has not got his BBBofC license back. He has a hearing in June.
Look forward to seeing him back out at Cruiserweight!mickey1975 wrote:Everyone is missing the real question in all this. What's larry going to be like without the peds?!
