which british boxer has been in the most wars

during the 80's there was a fighter rocky kelly who seemed never to be in anything but brutal fights ,one which lead to the unfortunate death of steve watts .

then there was carl thompson who never liked to do it the easy way weather that be against david haye or chris eubanks .

so which british fighter or fighters have been in hard brutal fights .either modern or old fighters

does anyone remember pat doherty feather/light weight he was in a few wars with najib daho and paul huggins

Possibly not the first name you'd think of, but Neville Brown was involved in some great bouts. He could box but would often trade, which made his fights exciting.

Other guys who could box but also liked a row in the ring:

Crawford Ashley
Spencer Oliver
Francis Ampofo
Ross Hale
Scott Dixon
Andreas Panayi
Ensley Bingham

Paul Appleby has had a few. What's happened to him? John Simpson was the last time he was out and that was nearly a year ago.

Mickey Hughes, Sean Murphy, Geoff McCreash and Michael Smyth weren't shrinking violets and you were guaranteed excitement when they boxed.

I've been told he is a good joiner and may be a bit fed up of boxing. I know his brother was a very good fighter too but gave it up to make more money working.

He was flung in deep very early, like Kevin Anderson, who was also in many wars. Kevin's fight with Young Mutley was heavy going.

John Simpson has been in the most grueling fights for me n recent years. He was robbed so many times too. Tough man.

No mention of Dennis Andries?! His trilogy with Harding was brutal and the fight with Hearns wasn't exactly a cakewalk either :bag:
