What do referees get paid?

Officialy I mean, not the back handers!

Does anyone know if there's a set fee for 4,6,8,10, 12 rounders?

In a "Title" fight, is the pay higher for a particular organisation - WBC, IBF, WBO.....WBU even?

Would a ref who worked say, Lewis v Tyson, get paid more than the guy who works Wlad/Brewster for instance?

Anyone know how it works?

Is that really the maximum? I'm quite surprised, seeing as a world cup ref gets I think £5000.

I think it was Joe Cortez, he got 8,000 (dont know if it was dollars or pounds) for refereeing Lewis-Rahman 2. I'm surprised they dont get more. There will be alot of less important people making more money out of a fight like that.

I think the danish commentator on a pretty big fight from the US, cant remember fight or boxers but it was a pretty big fight, the ref got $5000 for the fight.

Yeah. Sky-TV's 'Ringside' did a feature on referees the other week, and mentioned the phenomenal waiting list. Only when a ref hits 65 is there the chance for someone to get trained.

only about a couple of days waiting list if you want to become a ref in germany, just do what you are told

That's surprising to hear bennie, but I suppose it's a great job to have if you're working the big fights: Puerto Rico one week, Panama the next..
