Think we all have a habit of donning the rose-tinted glasses when we look at fighters from the past and sometimes forget to really appreciate the here and now.
Froch has been up there with Calzaghe and Benn as my favourite British fighter ever for some time now and tonight I think he edged above even them for me. The skill, the heart, the tenacity, the sportsmanship, the discipline... I could go on.
He's probably only got a couple of years left now, so let's enjoy it, as he's going to leave a massive void when he retires...

Also want to give a big shout-out to Rob McCracken, who also hasn't really had his dues as a trainer. He's done a phenomenal job with Froch and his corner work is a joy to watch/listen to.

if you watch the calzaghe/kessler fight calzaghe didnt want to get involved with him at all after he got a big body shot early in the fightbut then watch froch/kessler 1 or 2 and you will see a warrior in froch who ignores most of what is thrown at him and trades to the death. froch imo would of beaten calzaghe by late stoppage just my opinion

I know i don't have a life, otherwise i wouldn't have the posts i do, be reading on here, let alone posting. My point is that it's deserter saying "get a life", when he has has 4100 posts on a boxing internet forum. We all have to be saddo's in some way to spend time on here, including you, for intervening on a post that has nothing to do with you. As the borish saying goes "get a life"

I have to say this, and I mean it with most sincerity, I like my life but if I had to swap it for someone elses, Deserter would be the man I would swap with. Probably puts yours in the shade mate.

Exactly. Quixall, my reference to 'get a life' was simply that in the aftermath of an amazing fight like that, to be focused and hung up on the title of the thread rather than be talking the fight itself suggested to me you had your priorities all wrong. I, like many others, was far more interested in celebrating a superb night's boxing rather than ranting about a trivial matter.
As for your other points, contrary to your belief, I'm not a moron, but obviously take on board your heartfelt sentiments, and in my experience while it is a British boxing forum, I've seen us discussing and appreciating boxers from other countries numerous times over the years I've been on here (posting at my massive rate of around 1 a day... god knows how I manage to fit anything else into my day
)

I used to post on here a lot some years ago, my name is known to a degree on here. I stopped posting about two years ago because i just got bored with the site and didn't need people telling me the bleedin obvious. I did put an "lol" on my post and it was mean't as a joke and a general comment on "spoliers". Now, you can either believe me or not, frankly, either way i don't give a f*** lol. I here what you are saying and my responce to you was a wind up, ie, moron etc, because i felt like it. I have read some of your posts and you are a decent read. This site in the general scheme of my life means F*** all lol. it's why i don't post anymore or not much anyway. Having spats is pointless, people don't know each others personalities and try and gain from how they type something and use all the myriad of symbols on the left had column. I am breathing, i am enjoying my sunday, i just wish there was a symbol that stated you don't take seriously anything or anyone on this site lol.

Sorry mate, genuinely missed that so did misinterpret it - in my defence I'd gone to bed earlier and got up to watch at 2am time (11pm UK) and Sunday is a working day here, so by the time I was reading/posting, I wasn't at my sharpest.

sadly sky has killed boxing as a mainstream sport
during the aforce BBC years a couple of early Carl Froch fights were screened. what a shame that didnt last. Audley fights aside, the bbc's boxing schedule was very impressive.
many Joshua could do the same?

I've not seen the fight for years but wasn't it Kessler that didn't want to know after he got a body shot? Pretty sure he also mentioned it in a post fight interview.
