Froch hasn't got a hope in hell...

While Sky Sports were screening the Hatton-Pedersen mismatch on Saturday, Eurosport were showing a rerun of Vitali Tsypko against Charles Adamu. I stayed with the Tsypko-Adamu fight, given Adamu fought Carl Froch in Nottingham just 13 days later and couldn't miss him with the right hand.
Adamu couldn't get near Tsypko for 12 rounds and lost by 119-110 on one judge's card. Tsypko, a tall, long-armed southpaw, outboxed the Ghanaian from the start.
Froch claims he wants to go the conventional route to the top, but the super-middleweight scene in Europe is dynamite, with Mikkel Kessler, Mario Veit, Robin Reid, Rudy Markussen, Robert Stieglitz, Martin Nielsen, Fighting Nordin, Dennis Inkin, Eric Teymour and Mger Mkrtchian all queuing up for a crack at the current European champion Danilo Haussler (or the vacant title if Haussler vacates to go after one of Sven Ottke's old world titles).
I don't think Froch would even beat Tsypko.

Mads Larsen is the current european champ, he beat Haussler last year in Germany.
In other european supermiddleweight news, Martin Nielsen has been made mandatory challenger for Danilo Hausslers IBF Intl 168 belt.

Oh, yeah. Cheers, mate.

thats interesting bennie

I've not seen this Tyspoko but people have been saying good things about him. Adamu gave Froch all kinds of problems yet from what you have said plus others = Vitali schooled a much fresher Adamu. Hopefully they meet somewhere down the line!

I would like to see Froch fight Robin Reid.
What a present that would be for Reid to make up for the Ottke episode.

Reid is a bad fight for Froch. At this stage in their respective careers, Reid wins comfortably. You may not like Reid, but the one thing he can do (well, when not estopped from a dodgy judge) is land clean shots.

Reid would make a fool out of Froch, as Johnny Nelson always says...."He's too green"

Reid proved hes still at a high level "ON BEATING OTTKE" I hope he gets a chance for another title shot.

There seems to be some good talent awaiting the world stage in the 168 pound class, Froch had better learn from his last fight if he wants to be apart of that. His left hand is far too low and hes going to get found out, or knocked out if he does not bring it up. Hes a good fighter, but we have to remember hes in the learning period of the pro's......no matter what the BBC hype says

Vitali Tsypko may be fighting British-based Russian Eric Teymour on the April 17 Harris vs Urkal show in Berlin.
If he wins, Tsypko is said to be in the running for an IBF eliminator with Robin Reid for the title left vacant by Sven Ottke.

Reid would chew him up and spit him out.

Froch will be a good British level fighter, but not much better than that.

Every time I hear him announced as The Cobra, I laugh so hard i piss my pants.

He should immediately apologise to Donald Curry.

I agree that Froch has some fundamental style problems in that he believes he can win by just throwng the right and carrying his lead to low BUT they way he is being descibed here is as a total no hoper.
He showed a lot of bollox against Adamu in the last fight to turn it around in only his 12th contest. That was good experience and maybe just maybe he might start listening to his trainers rather than the publicity.
It was a fight he could have lost at commonwealth level but he didnt and he turned it around a bloody experience if you ask me.
Ignore the BEEB hyping which seems to be fundamental to the derision we see above and what you actually have is a bright young prospect learniNg his trade and who so far is being fast tracked to European level.
Dodson will tell us more and that is a briliant fight at this juncture but in the meantime it might be wise to cut the guy some slack. How bout a bit of encouragement for a change.

I havent been impressed by Froch at all so far...he just looks very beatable to me!

Vitali Tyspko would beat him right now in my opinion and is the better prospect of the two.

Carl uses a styles that doesnt seem to suit him and he always looks like he could get caught and knocked out....admittedly he hasnt been yet and looking like it could happen and it actually happening are two different things....

The fact it keeps being tossed around that he is the worlds best prospect etc is utter bullshit as he is far from that.

Typsko (spelling) - Teymour would be an excellent fight, I have yet to see Eric box but the guys at the Peacock rave about his sparring.

I did not mean it to come across as if I did not like Reid, I do like Reid, I meant it as a case of if Reid could be matched with Froch it would give his career a boost after the Ottke fight, Sadly I don`t think Reid figures in the plans of Froch`s people.

That would be a suicidal fight, Reid takes a shot well, Froch is nowhere near experienced enough...

I meant it as by beating Froch, which he would easily, it would give his career a boost from the exposure on national tv. Something I think he needs.

Some rather daft predictions being made here on this thread. Robin Reid to easily beat Froch? Well I'd be even further disappointed in Reid if he couldn't beat a 12 fight lad given his wealth of experience! It's just an excerise it stating the obvious.

However, let Froch clean up domestically, which I think he will, and then move forward to Europe which by that time will have improved further and from what I've seen of former Euro Champ Danillo Haussler, Froch has the potential to see off that sort of standard of opposition.

If Carl can establish himself at top European level and Robin is still around and doing bugger all in between landing significant title shots, then we could have a serious fight on our hands. I can't forget Robin looking clueless against the tricky Silvio Branco some years back.

Carl proved his metal against Adamu and also showed he needs to improve his defence at the same time. His chin looked reliable that night becuase he too plenty of right handers flush. Froch also displayed that extra something, by getting the knockdown and turning the fight his way on the scorecard when he really needed it.

As "J" quite rightly state Carl showed a lot of guts against Adamu, and this was another hurdle he has overcome, when I think back to the World Amateur Championships he seemed to lose his bottle when settling for a Bronze medal, albeit against a top notch opponent.

Lest we forget, Carl is only a novice in pro terms. He has a lot of talent but he has such fundamental flaws in his game that they will be very difficult to iron out.

I'm all for getting behind our lads...hope he sorts his style out.

I was have a look at some of my old Vid's and there I saw a copy of Tony Dodson's fourth proffesional contest (it was on a big PPV show). Quite amazingly Piper and McGuigan said very similar comments about him.
