Canelo is not ready. Easy fight for floyd.

It's strange really, it's a fight i really want to see but I also see Floyd taking a very easy points decision.

Will Canelo try to come in at 154? I doubt floyd would have missed that trick. $2M for every pound over??

Sulaiman might me many things but he ain't stupid. Given the money sloshing around this fight, there's no way he'll want to be missing his meaty chunk of the pie.

Also, what are the four belts? I get WBC (Alvarez), WBA (Floyd) and Ring. Where does the fourth one come in? Are the IBF joining in with a Galactic belt or maybe the WBO Platinum title?

WBA Super Champion : Mayweather

Also Sulaiman ordered Alvarez on the 28 May to drop either the other belts or the WBC in the next four to five days.

Whether he is ready or not i'm not sure but i'm happy the fight is on

So Floyd is happy to face Cotto, DeLaHoya at 154 but makes Alvarez, an actual puncher who is big at the weight, come in weight drained. At 154 I'd respect Floyd, at 152 it's always gonna be a win vs weight drained Alvarez. Ready made excuse

Yeah but you have to remember things like how pacquaio made de la hoya come in at a catchweight, etc and he looked so drained he moved like he had rigomortis! Its not just Floyd that does this.

In most cases, yes. Floyd is an ATM in my opinion, but they has always been the 'he had Cortez's help vs Hatton; he avoid Pac with the blood testing' bandwagon. This screams 'Floyd is scared of Alvarez so is making him weight drained' (I'm not saying he is but that's how it looks).

It would be like when Hopkins won the LHW vs Pacal, then forcing Dawson to make 170lbs because he's scared of him or Calzaghe making Jones or Hopkins drain down. I don't understand Floyd's reasoning...

I imagine it's just a psychological edge he's after. Alvarez used to weigh less than 152 fighting at this weight, it's only his last two or three fights he's weighed 154. He can make it comfortably.

At the time the fight was considered an utter mismatch across the board due to Oscar been far to big for Manny who in the same year had fought at featherweight Marquez, lightweight Diaz and then Del a Hoya at CW at 145. Three weights(almost) in one year!

Think Floyd is just larking around with the 152 to at least get a bit of an advantage due to what goes on before the weigh in, lets face it Canelo will be around 174 fight night and Floyd 146-148 at max, thats around 25-30lb difference when they step in the ring, thats enormous advantages to Canelo, I give Mayweather props here really, its a big challenge for him it really is. I think he has taken Alvarez now as he knows the kids improving, he knows he himself will slow slightly further as he ages, right time to take him, he figures If I am going to beat this kid then beat him now.

Floyd weighed in at 151 against Cotto, not sure fight weight.

Just cannot believe it, Floyd fights Alvarez and is still getting criticisms. What I am saying I cannot believe it, of course I can. Floyd could fight King Kong and there would still be some criticisms.
