Yes, the guy is American. He interviewed Manny Pacqauio a few weeks ago, has also done Freddie Roach....he is doing Evander Holyfield tomorrow morning.....I've asked him to throw in a question from me!

Brad's a good guy, writes at boxingtime., where i should think this interview will be put up at as well.

I have got to say, Steve was not himself that night. I am not making excuses for him, because he lost fair and square, but I don't know whether he froze or Hamed's psychological warfare got to him...I was expecting a real war that night, and was disappointed.

Interesting, I thought Dai Gardner said he couldn't be in tip top shape - didn't he have only 4 weeks notice? or is this a myth.

Where you in the documentary the BBC showed after that fight - I remember Dai talking to Steve's sparring partners and also talking to a guy with a 0-14 record.

I wasn't in that documentary, but the guy you are talking about with the 0-14 record has to be Andy Bloomer, who went on to 0-20 before retiring. I think the only guy that stopped him was Naz though; he lost all the rest on points. He still trains and spars at Dai's gym, and can still provide a test for some of the guys. A credit to the gym.

Sorry to harp on about this Dean, you said a good few weeks - but did the camp know it was Hamed. Robinson knew well in advance that his mandatory was up. Steve was supposed to be fighting some Italian guy. Now, this Italian guy lost and (according to the Welsh news at the time) Dai and Steve both felt then that the date would be scrapped because the WBO now didn't have a mandatory.

Now, according to the news again, Steve got a phone call from Dai on his honeymoon saying the WBO mandatory is Hamed and you've got 4 weeks to fight him or be stripped. Gardiner and Robinson tried to take some legal action, because how could a man who had never fought at Feather become mandatory. But they had to take the fight or be stripped.

How much of this is true Dean, if you don't mind - I hope most of it, I WANT to believe that somethig was missing with STEVO.

For me though the warning signs were there when he fought that Argie (in his last ITV fight) he should have moved up to 130 lbs he was getting weight drained.
