Saw a short snippeton BBC London news earlier on. It was light on detail and not sure if it's an exclusive but it seems like it'd be a great venue for boxing. Did anybody get to the venue in the olympics?

Yeah I went there good venue. I will be interested to see how the Park works with the temporary structures gone!

Watch handball there at Olympics, excellent venue. This has a balcony all around it with great viewing from all sides. If its used right it could become a very special boxing venue.

They said the capacity at the olympics was 7000 but it'd be more when set up for boxing. Looked so fornicating small in the report though. I'm looking forward to making the most of the Olympic Park soon. Springsteen in the Summer, world cup rugby and now boxing, all a twenty two minute train ride from Kentish Town.

Yeh good news for those of us living close by, i'm in Wanstead, even closer!

They absolutely nailed the acoustics and atmosphere for a small hall arena. Watched the handball there and was caught up in the drama despite knowing diddly squat about what we were watching.

It p1sses on the excel and wembley arena, and if practical (read economically viable) could become Londons go-to boxing venue.

They're doing a lot of referb, making it look nice (flowers, trees, shops etc). I'm there for Hard Rock Calling in a month so I'll let you know

For atmosphere the Copperpot took some beating, I brought some handball tickets and my mates laughed at me, but went and watched a great womans game between Norway v Brazil. The crowd was going mad and everyone there got into it.
Boxing could be immense there i think, its got a closeness to the action that is lacking at the Excel or Arenas
