Haven't seen any discussion on this.

Thoughts? Does he stand a chance?

Boxing News made him a marginal favourite to ride out a few rough moments and win on points.

I've actually seen him fight live, bizarrely.

I think it depends which Diaz turns up, it's fair to say his record is patchy and his results inconsistent.

It's hard to rate him too, given that his best wins are over no-marks or faded names.

He's always lost against anything approaching top class opposition but he can hit.

I'd expect Gethin to grind out a decision or force a late stoppage so long as he doesn't get cut or dragged into a brawl.

Gethin reminds me of a British Antonio Margarito, he's a tough SOB that will keep coming forward and wear you down, he maybe a bit one-paced though and IMO will struggle against boxer/mover types (admittedly I'm going on the Gethin from a few years ago, so he may have progressed since then)

COME ON THE SADDLER!!!!

Can't see it. Diaz has fought at a high level. I see a decent fight but Gethin will not see the final bell here. Diaz wants another title shot. I think he takes Gethin out.

Steve Bunce has just said 'lets not mince our words......'

I remember him starting a sentence with that back in the days of boxing on the BBC. I'v absolutely loved starting sentences with that ever since I first heard him do it.

I like his "Let's get it right" catchphrase.

The whole "looks good but needs to show a bit more urgency" crap, he didn't look good, he looked like he was a fighter going through the motions, a bit like Johnson at the moment actually.
