I felt like watching this Puerto Rican gem on video again this morning, including 2 rounds of torture dealt out to Rocky Martinez, and the 7 rounds of "sparring" with Demetrio Ceballos....

Cotto's balance looks his best quality, along with his movement & shot selection. he's technically superb....

I'm sure most of you who have seen his fights will already be aware of this...but Cotto is indeed left-hand happy. He very seldom makes use of his right hand for anything more than the occasional jab, or to push an opponent away.

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't fancy a Cotto right-hander around the chops, but he is seriously left-handed in nearly all he does.

So whilst I sat there, in little doubt this guy is going to tear up the division, I just wonder if this trait of his will be exposed by some of the top 5 in the Light Welterweight division?

What do you think are the chances of the Cotto gravy-train coming to an unexpectedly swift halt if someone looks to capitalise on this?

dunno whether this will negate his obvious ability at the very top level but it certianly cant help can it.

I can't see many flaws with him, he looks a class act thus far.

Is that right? I have noticed this problem and thought he had hand troubles. Obviously a weakness.

I want to know about his brother aswell, he doesn't seem a bad fighter also.

For those that don't know, Miguel Cotto is a natural lefty, hence his love for the left hand. Much like Oscar, except I think Miguel is a more complete fighter than Oscar was at this stage.
