mick hennessy? doing good or bad

mick has gotten himself a very good stable of fighters with great potential there
is he doing a good job for them or bad
this weekends card looks awful and all his fighters should win by knockout

I think he needs to step up opposition for degale and galahad and eubank jnr needs a meaningful fight soon

he seems to be doing great for Tyson but the rest seem to be on the back burner

does he get the thumbs up or down

I like Mick, he's a fighter!! He's been wrote off numerous times as a promoter after being fcuked about by TV channels, but he's still here plugging away.

I like his promoting ethic of trying to put on competitive matches wherever possible.

Keep Ducking & Diving Mick!!

Eubank junior was being matched tough early on, degale is not the draw he was since losing to groves, kid Galahad was once saying how much better he was then frampton and quigg and then went quiet, fury kind of promotes himself on twitter and being a heavyweight his going to gain more interest ! I think ch 5 putting everything on hold for a few months has really stalled these guys short term. I think Mick has done a reasonable job so far :TU:
I would be interested to see how bigger a star froch would of been if he had stayed with him and had the same run of fights since the super six !

It appears to me that Fury is his meal ticket so spends most of his time on him. It seems criminal that Eubank Jr couldn't get a fight on one of Fury's undercards. Jr should be boxing far more often imo and that's Mick's fault

Froch has only become a bigger star in this country since going to Hearn getting his bouts on Sky, he was still flying under the radar of the wider public until a few fights ago, even with his great achievements. That's the power of Sky and a good promoter, that wouldn't have happened under Mick.

That's the power of having Sky behind your promoter

Don't like or hate him, he has some good fighters but the TV deal has messed him around. As another poster said perfectly about DeGale, he has lost his appeal since Groves. That is probably because he lost to his arch rival Groves and people wanted to see him lose anyway but Groves inflicting the defeat made it better for the amount of DeGale haters.

He maybe a genius the way he is handling Fury with the pull outs and then strongly rumoured Haye fight.

Don't really rate Eubank Jr and think he wont do much at 160lb at all.

Hennessy has taken Tyson Fury from signing pro in 2008 , to the cusp of multi-million pound fights.

So you have to give him some credit there definitely.

I've criticized Mick a lot in the past for failing to get his fighters work and opportunity. I think Carl Froch suffered here but it was Mick who got him into the Super 6, he has done a great job with Fury and now he has a stable to develop, fingers crossed he can hold onto tv dates.

He has done really well for Tyson Fury.

I don't think he is doing a good job for his others.

I mean Galahad has fought once in the last year and his profile has dropped through the floor. Same with Eubank Jr who had not had a fight since Christmas (he had fought 3 times at this point last year, with 8 in total). Both these fighters were talked about often on here, and around boxing last year - barely at all this year which tells a story.

DeGale similarly will not be progressing with the types of opponent put in front of him. He will probably regret having ever left FW.

I think Fury has done that more by himself to be honest and with his mouth.

I was judging him on the past 15 years rather than just on one show (I couldn't even tell you who's fighting this weekend)

mick needs to deliver next time out for degale.

degale's earning.

but he needs a name ranked opponent to set up a title shot.

can't have george groves winning a world title first. :witzend:

come on mick sort it. :OhYes:

as predicted all won by easy knockout
(apart from eubank junior)
he is not a good prospect at all,
every decent fighter in the uk would destroy him

time for kid and degale to be in some meaningful fights now
