a couple of years back i was told that haye had all his money in cyprus as a tax haven , for this tax haven haye just had to stick a cypriot flag on his shorts and train there (his mum or wife is cypriot )
now cyprus has gone through a financial meltdown and isn't letting people take there money out of cyprus ,SO is this why haye is fighting again because he needs the money rather than a new found hunger for the game ..........

It's the Greek half of Cyprus that had the financial turmoil, Hayes base was in the Turkish half of Cyprus

I reckon he earnt about £5m from the Wlad Klitschko fight alone and to me he seems financially astute, so I can't see him being skint

Its quite well known, Booth has the North Cypriot connection, I believe he is half cypriot. Haye began training there upon Booths advice and liked it.

As for his financial affairs he is probably far from broke he could live off the Audley fight alone quite comfortably I'm sure.

He doesn't know anything other than boxing, he said he wanted to be a film star but that hasn't happened he's probably continuing to fight because he appears to be the type of person who likes the attention, and only boxing can give him that at the moment.

I very much doubt David Haye is broke, but I do think he is smart with his cash as I am sure he has got a portfolio of investments ie properties, shares et al for when he does finally does walk away from the ring, because I remember reading in an interview Bernard Hopkins has portfolio of investments in low interest US Treasury bonds and property in his native Philly and Carl Froch owns a ton of property in Nottingham as well so I expect Haye will have done something similar.

Haye's money is in the Turkish half of the Island, not the Greek side. His money is unaffected with all the issues the Greek half of Cyprus has been going through. Booth himself, is half Turkish Cypriot http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam_Booth and that is why Haye based himself over the Northern half of the Island and invested there.

His money is completely safe. It always has been.
