I had a debate with someone about this not too long ago. I said Julian had the more raw one punch power and he said no because look who had more 1 rd KO's on their resume. I stated that Julian was a puncher and while Gerald was a boxer/puncher and plus had more tools to work with. But if you just take punching power i would have to say it's Julian Jackson all the way

Both had incredible power so very hard to say. Perhaps in terms of power alone an edge to Jackson. BUT... GM was an expert at catching opponents cold. He seemed more prepared to go for the KO the instant a fight started.

It's not a big deal if someone posts an old school match-up in the Current Scene. Sometimes they do it because there is not a lot of traffic in BOTP and they'll be more discussion if posted here. Not like it's overtaking any great Current Scene banter.

That being said, I'd lean towards Jackson.

No one wanted to fight him. Can't fight guys who are scurred to sign on the line which is dotted.

Jackson was a bigger puncher, McClellan simply had a better chin and was a larger and stronger man.

julian but mcclellan had more skills to apply it and was more durable

Pretty similar in power IMO. Jackson got more "eye catching" KOs b/c his money punch was a left hook while GM's was the right cross.

I give McClellan the edge because he was bigger but Jackson was the bigger puncher relative to his size. Gerald was a huge middleweight while in his prime, Jackson was an average 154lber.
