Right at the end of this interview Fast car Eddie mentions this as a fight happening. Do you think he was taking the piss or a slip of the tongue about a fight that is likely to be happening? Around the 29:00 minute mark....

Kovalev has made a name for himself with a lot of showy knockouts.
He could be crude - or extremely dangerous.
Putting down Campillo three times before a 3rd round KO is not to be sniffed at.

Kovalev is also well known for his fight against Simakov. Sadly Simakov went in to a coma and died a few days later.

I thought Braehmer was next for Clev? Kovalev is a big puncher and we all know W@rren's thoughts on dangerous punchers. I won't get excited until this is actually announced. As it's Cardiff I'd be tempted to go, but won't buy a ticket until after they've both weighed in!

I watched that fight on youtube. It's rather chilling.

Clev has a good chin; I'd think Braehmar is a greater threat.

Don't believe Kovaleverly will happen for a second. Why would Warren suddenly throw Nate to the wolves like that after what we've seen so far?

I could see it happening. At the moment Cleverly is finding it near on impossible to get the likes of Hopkins and the other champions in the ring so if he fights a guy with a 20-0 record with 18 knockouts it will look good to fans and get people talking about him again which is what FW wants.

Well he didn't mind matching him with Braehmer or Boomer.

serious fight.
already i feel more positive.
c'mon clev!
if he fought both kovalev and braehmer - coming off an apparently thrilling win over gutnecht - in the same year, i'd shirt myself.
cleverly has serious chin and fitness. he has the talent. but those rough edges need addressing. maybe the dangerous fights will bring the best out of him.

Well, I guess once he's been starched in a couple of rounds people will be 'talking about him again' for a few hours.

Kovalev has a decent fighter to beat this weekend first in Cornelius White.

White was knocked out in a round by Don George which doesnt bode well against a puncher like Kovalev.

It's a strange scenario - because a win wont really be a heap of praise for Clev and yet there is a very real threat here, unlike the previous lot.

No matter what Clev does he is criticised by most idiots on here. Sad really.

It's not what he does personally Taffy , it's what is promised and then what is actually delivered.
This one however, is a good fight. It will be a good win too (in my book anyway).
