Talk is cheap.

If he spent less time on Twitter, and more time working on his defense, I'd actually give Fury a chance of getting past round 1 against Haye. Until then he looks content trying to bull$hit Haye to death.

Fury was fortunate to come through the Cunningham fight. He got floored by a an ageing blown up cruiserweight. Haye will destroy Fury inside four rounds, no problem at all. Fury is a bit of a laugh and is entertaining to a point, but as a boxer he is pretty hopeless. His fights tend to resemble car park brawls. He can't punch properly and has little or no defence at all. He keeps saying that he is the best heavyweight out there and says " I keep proving it time and time again " !! Does he ?? Who exactly has he fought ? His mouth and personality will earn him a few quid and good luck to him, but you can't take the man seriously as a professional heavyweight boxer. It will be an easy nights work for Haye, who will beat him at a canter.

To be honest, I don't find him entertaining at all. It's all been done and done much better. He will earn a few quid out of it, so good luck to him.

I don't rate him at all and he will lose, if he takes that fight.

And who did Haye exactly beat at heavyweight that was so mind blowing?

"Huggy Bear" John Ruiz?

"King's Kong" Nicolai Valuev with as much mobility as a skyscraper?

Monte "Shoulda Brought More Than Two Guns" Barrett?

or how about Derek "The Ultimate Journeyman Warrior" Chisora?

All these guys Haye beat were essentially the same skill-set, ability, etc. as Kevin Johnson and Steve Cunningham. Haye didn't even try against Vladimir Klitschko, claiming a broken toe afterwards. My ass. It was about as competitive as Tua and Lewis. When it actually counted and mattered, Haye didn't have the balls or the gumption to fight. He ran away. His mouth overloaded his ass and he stepped through the ropes to collect a check, and that was it.

Fury when he brings his A game has great ring generalship, fast hands, high volume jab, and is certainly proved tough enough to get off the canvas when it does happen and afterwards fights back harder. I see this going the whole twelve rounds. And dont be surprised if Fury wins it. It may not be pretty, it may not be exciting, etc. but he will probably win it. Peter Fury isn't a stupid man, and doesn't take certain opponents for certain reasons. They see something in Haye that everyone else is missing out on.

Well, for a start Haye isn't the one who is claiming to be the greatest heavyweight out there based on fighting a few doorman, out of shape europeans, domestic plodders and an old blown up cruiserweight. The issue i raised was simple. That Fury isn't a very good heavyweight and that Haye will flatten him. Haye has the speed, precision and power to beat fury inside four rounds. Fury lacks technicality in his overall style. He doesn't punch properly, has no defence and is wide open to counter shots. He has never faced an experienced ex world champion fighter with Haye's attributes. Fury beat Cunningham because Cunningham ran out of steam, fighting in a weight catagory that was always going to be too much for him. Up untill the knock out, he out-classed Fury, put him down and had him in a whole heap of trouble.

How Haye fought Wladimir is a completely seperate issue to him fighting Fury. Give Haye some credit. He is a former cruiserweight and heavyweight world champion, more than you can say for Fury. He has fought the best in both those divisions, more than can be said for Fury. His basic ticket selling assumption that he is the best heavyweight out there is baseless and faintly embaressing. He has been pole axed on a number of occasions and to very weak opposition and stole a verdict over John McDermott in the first fight. Haye should have taken the fight to Wlad and gone for broke because with the size differential, it was the only way to try and beat Wladimir, but we aren't discussing Haye's career, we are discussing a possible fight and it's outcome between David Haye and Tyson Fury. Before i go on to talk about your final paragraph, i have to declare that i actually like Fury, enjoy his fights, etc, so i am not anti Fury, which i think is the case with you and your comments towards Haye.

I can't believe your last paragraph. Peter Fury ? What does he bring to the camp exactly ? The Fury camp will take the fight if the money is right. If that show is promoted how i think it will be promoted it will make both fighters a lot of money and enough money for Fury to offset an almost virtually guaranteed defeat. Ring generalship lol ? What ring generalship ? Fast hands ? Oh come on. You can see Fury's shot's coming a mile off. Big great cumbersome shots coming in a great arc and travelling at a distinctly pedestrian pace. He has been put down with fighters who aren't noted for any power, hence him getting straight back up.The guy has some heart etc, but he hasn't been hit hard in the ring once so far. Fury is a big ponderous heavyweight who lacks in so many departments and Haye will tell people how good Fury really is, which isn't very good when you take away the mouth, the charisma and kareoke singing.

You've got a point, but your giving him way more credit than he deserves. He aint no self marketing genius, just a bit of an idiot egomaniac with a volatile temper, a perfect recipie for compelling viewing.

Tyson Fury is a buffoon. His stupid rant on Channel Five against David Price was excrutiating. It was funny, clever or witty. It made me want to rip my arm off, just so I had something to throw at the television.

But I take your point. Somehow, he's managed to buffoon his way into a big-money match against Haye. He'll lose it, but he'll be paid more money for it than most people will see in a lifetime.

I'll watch the fight so I can laugh at Fury losing. (Though I refuse to pay for it on principle. I'll have to find a pub that shows PPVs.) But he won't care why I watch it. Boxers don't care who want them to win or lose, as long as they are being paid well to fight.
