Max Baer was 44 years old in 1953.
That looked like that may have been a real actual chair that he punched through.
Remember that blooper from the Abbott& Costello show were someone actually smashed
a real flower pot on Lou Costello's head instead of a light breakaway prop?
Sounds like there was a real fool employed on the set or someone wanted to sabatoge the show.
