Personally i think it's a disaster for the credibility of boxing that he's been able to negotiate his way back so soon.

I predict a couple of ho-hum 6 round decisions against Latvian journeymen, and another early loss to a half-decent domestic fighter, followed by retirement.

In the light of this dillian Whyte looks very hard done by -I hope he returns soon too and i hope all the british heavyweights ranked 4-15 start fighting each other as there could be some good tussles and you could get some excitement back into the scene for the area, English and british titles.

The problem in Olubamiwo's case is that he has not offered up a Mr Big, but a 5ft 7in super-featherweight with a 11-12 win/loss record.
They need to check their facts before they type up an article. That record belongs to Craig Windsor Sr and not Craig Windsor Jr

"has a degree in pharmaceutical chemistry – which he has certainly put to good use."

Good line. This whole episode seems very bizarre.

Having 3 years knocked off your ban just for enlightening the board to one 11-12 fighter taking steroids seems extremely generous to me....... fair enough if he'd brought down a group of steroid users in boxing. He's claiming to know a lot more than he's letting on regarding other boxers taking steroids, but befriending a stranger on facebook and stitching them up seems to get him a 3 year reduction......... seems a bit farcical to me

It is ironic that one cheat was grassed upon by another cheat!

Craig Windsor Jr's record is not 11-12, as I stated above.

Point taken Law, but the point of my post is not altered by the fact he has a 9-2 record rather than 11-12.

Going on Larrys recent exploits, it seems to me that if one of our top boxers tested positive for taking steroids he could get his ban reduced by 75% by informing the authorities that a novice or unknown boxer has been taking steroids. I'm sure there'd be plenty queueing up for a drugs ban if the price was right
