Froch Vs Groves - Who would win?

I know it may be a little too soon for Groves but I would love to see this fight happen this year and it could, should Ward and Kessler not fancy a rematch.

Easy fight to be made and will both get a good pay day from it.

I like Groves and how he has developed, I think it could be a close fight.

I think it would probably be competitive for awhile but I see Froch eventually knocking him out.

I think it's more competitive than some may think too but I think Froch would take over and either win clearly on points or by a late stoppage. I think Groves and his team should be pushing really hard to get hold of a title whether it be the WBO or WBC and then get a defence in against someone like Kessler or Abraham and then the Froch fight becomes very possible.

I went for a Froch win on points or if I'm saying in a James Degale style Frock points win.

Degale would get the call first & if he was to win groves gets a return

How do you see Degale getting the call first when Groves is also signed to matchroom like Froch is?

I think Froch has said himself that Groves needs to go in with some better competition and then he'd be interested in the fight. I think Groves should be aiming for a Abraham, Stieglitz, Edwin Rodriguez *another very good unbeaten prospect* first before going in with Froch.

I would love to hear why/how from the surprising number of people who've gone for Groves on points. I'm a fan of Groves, but he hasn't even come close to swimming in such deep waters yet.

I reckon Froch stops him 6-9.

groves is ranked 10 in the world at 168 by ring mag, so it'll be recognised as a solid fight; and groves does have that headline-winning fight vs degale, in which he showed maturity and concentration to win a tricky 12-rounder.

I just think groves will go for the WBO title, especially with Stieglitz-Abraham 3 negotiations breaking down.

wouldn't it be an achievement if froch beats all the top brits - groves, degale, & one of our top light heavies - and all the top Canadians - add Stevenson to pascal and bute. pure fantasy but that's be an interesting distinction.

I tend to agree with that! Or anywhere between 8 and 12.

Yeah I would have voted for that too if it was an option.

This. It's quite like the Bute fight; despite his edge in speed (possibly 1-shot power too), nothing Groves does can stop Froch getting to him fairly early, and when he gets there I really doubt Groves has the chin to take what Froch dishes out for more than a few rounds.

groves can be hurt proved that in Kenny Anderson fight, froch got a granite chin granted taylor put him down but I don't think groves could put froch down even though groves has got a lot of power, froch will walk him down and put groves in deepest water and take him out or win by points

Why fight groves for whatever the purse and not cleverly for £2.5m? Wouldnt have thought froch was getting more for groves, and surely cleverly has more kudos? Does he not? Im assuming even warren knew options wouldnt have been an option in the offer, or were they in there knowing froch would reject but he could report the offer?

As a side, froch wins. Would imagine by KO. Groves, booth and hearn should be building for Groves' time, nit throwing him to the lions. I suspect they are and this is just PR. Surely Abraham is the fight for both fighters?

Why fight Cleverly when he's a light heavyweight? Also, I think Cleverly would be a bad stylistic matchup for Froch with his height and size. I think Hearn and Froch think that aswell probably. Also why would Froch want to fight Abraham again?! What would be the point in that fight? Abraham doesnt even hold a belt anymore. Or are you saying Abraham is the fight for both fighters as in himself and Groves? If so, I 100% agree.

Hearn aint likely to trade them off. Groves isn't that well known regardless of his degale win.froch wants big fights & I think he rates degale higher

Froch definately, probably 9 - 12. Good fight with Groves ahead on points. Froch would need the KO which I think he would deliver. Forget Degale, Froch v Degale isnt going to happen. TBH I dont think Froch v Groves will come off this year. Degale may have to face Groves again and if Groves wins then he may get Froch in the ring. Those two still have something to prove, there isnt a shortcut to Froch he and Ward are the top men.

Groves hasnt had enough experience fighting at a high level to have a fight with froch at the moment he would get smashed like bute did. I the future however i think groves is going to be a very capable world champion. Maybe he should be targeting a couple of fights with the following - steiglitz, bute, AA, and Bika, and then think about guys at kessler, froch and then wards levels.

is it possible groves will become WBA mando?

could this fight actually happen, next?

if froch wants to keep 2 belts, he's got to beat the top ranked contenders.

the fight obviously also qualifies as a british superfight.

Froch wins this fight easily. Groves just isn't ready yet.

Can't see why people think DeGale gets the fight first though, considering the Groves fight is a lot easier to make.
