Do we give eastern European fighters...

Too hard a time?
Just watching this ribchev fella against rose and it got me thinking that we as fans (and maybe fighters do the same) are quick to call them bums and denigrate them despite them having limited options and probably motivating themselves.
How would some of our top amateurs careers have progressed without the handholding they can get from promoters due to a strong pro scene in the country. Making weight, fighting on an off night, staying in shape with no retainer etc. These latvian cab drivers, bulgarian bouncers turn up ready to fight to put food on the table knowing they are at a disadvantage. In football terms, it's like a prem league team facing non league opposition

Why does Eddie Hearn feel the need to do the ringwalk with his fighters?!

He said he struggled to form a bond with Carl Frampton, I think he feels the need to be mates with his fighters to be able to promote them, which is absolute bollocks.

He seems to like being the centre of attention too much for me.

I can see that from the perma tan, slack back haircut and the way he's always waving his finger about in photos. I just don't think he actually knows that much about boxing.

It's not really about that, more the lack of respect for fighters prepared to give up a lot for not a lot. Journeyman get a lot of praise within the game for what they offer despite a few who dont offer a great deal. A couple of dodgy performances from the ee's though and they're all a shoeer of shite.
Does it have anything to do with taking these fights away from the established journeyman?

I should add that I'm drinking a polish lager called eb special which is lovely so might be feeling quite generous to Europeans

The eastern european journeymen, with the occasional exception are absolute shite and their wins are against other journeymen, most who don't have a win to their name in glorified sparring sessions.

It's interesting that Hearn said that a world title comes first and that's what you're in the game for.... so if Amir Khan came out and said he'd like to fight Kell Brook would that still be the case? I very much doubt it.

No, but they give fighters rounds and are difficult to stop, the eastern europeans just fall over, take the payday and go home.
