Burns vs Crolla

Who really wants to see that?! I think it's complete mismatch.
Thats what i think. I get criticised for giving Hearn stick but he's putting on the same kind mismatches that FW gets slated for.TheCobra wrote:No don't want to see that personally, would rather Burns takes on some big names at the weight, they need to get Burns some proper big fights now surely?

X2 Billy ..... ps Billy please have a word with Ricky so he doesnt agree to that fight.billy nelson wrote:Anthony IMO got a lucky decision tonight and shouldn't be fighting for a world title, I'd rather Ricky fight Crawford in Glasgow or NY

Crawford is a big talent coming up though. He might not hold a belt but it's a good fight.Horse wrote:billy nelson wrote:Anthony IMO got a lucky decision tonight and shouldn't be fighting for a world title, I'd rather Ricky fight Crawford in Glasgow or NY![]()
Vazquez or Abril would be far better than Crawford though.
Of course, but not as good as a unification fight.columbo wrote:Crawford is a big talent coming up though. He might not hold a belt but it's a good fight.
I agree. The problem is there's probably very little money in those fights whereas Crawford is being built up by HBO so it's good american tv money.Horse wrote:Of course, but not as good as a unification fight.columbo wrote:Crawford is a big talent coming up though. Your boy Burns had him '3 or 4' rounds up.billy nelson wrote:Anthony IMO got a lucky decision tonight and shouldn't be fighting for a world title, I'd rather Ricky fight Crawford in Glasgow or NY
Good card tonight will have to wait and see if the Crolla fight happens I don`t wan`t it too and that would be a wazza type fight.Which fights has Hearn put on lately has been a mismatch ?The Groves keep busy fight could be classed as that but no mainevent lately could be classed as that and Barker dealt with his last two fights well but I wouldn`t of called them mismatches on paper beforehand.columbo wrote:Thats what i think. Silly question as I could list a number of prospects fights which happen on any promotion. Aside from that Id say the guy Quigg fought tonight wasnt upto much and the guy Rose fought wasnt great.ashedward wrote:Good card tonight will have to wait and see if the Crolla fight happens I don`t wan`t it too and that would be a wazza type fight.Which fights has Hearn put on lately has been a mismatch ?columbo wrote:Thats what i think. I have edited my post above I`m talking about main event fights not undercard fights on show which were a sucess.[/quote]ashedward wrote:Silly question as I could list a number of prospects fights which happen on any promotion. Linares would be a bloody tough fight! I know he's lost against the likes of Demarco and other lesser fighters but he has a lot of talent. He just seems to cut easily and have a somewhat suspect chin.iamasadlittleboy wrote:Bugger the unification bouts (for now). Burns v Vazquez or Abril would be interesting for the standing of the division but dour things to watch (though Burns v the Figueroa/Arakawa winner would be good). Get Burns v Linares on an American undercard to help raise the profile of Ricky, then the Figueroa/Arakawa winner THEN one of the two other champions.
It'd be tough, high profile, more fun to watch than the Vazquez/Abril bouts and most importantly very credible.columbo wrote:Linares would be a bloody tough fight! I was hoping for Burns vs Demarco for september.iamasadlittleboy wrote:It'd be tough, high profile, more fun to watch than the Vazquez/Abril bouts and most importantly very credible.columbo wrote:Linares would be a bloody tough fight! Those "lesser" fighters aren't really that lesser though, Thompson for example is fighting Takashi Miura in August for a Super Featherweight strap, DeMarco well has was the WBC title holder and Salgado is a 2 time champion.
Actually, Burns v DeMarco could be another "good sell" for US TV.
He doesn't main event uneven-ly in most cases (unless its a final eliminator).columbo wrote: Id already written my post before you had edited it mate
