The NZ TAB court case over the SBW/Botha fight

Hi
Some will recall I took the NZ TAB to the small claims court ( here called the Disputes Tribunal ) over this fight.
And as most predicted I got a hiding.
The Tribunal has found that even though the fight was never going to go 12 rounds there was no breach of the Fair Trading Act because all the TAB was providing was a bet on a 12 round fight and since it was clear that that was the bet the bet was not in itself misleading.
The Tribunal also found that it would need a higher Court to rule on issues of natural justice and also whether the TAB could pay out on the bet at all since the controlling body (WBA) did not have a supervisor at the match.
You can only appeal a Tribunal decision if you can prove your views have not been heard and you cannot appeal on the logic/supporting reasoning of the Tribunal itself.
So the big guy beats the little guy.
Nothing new there.
