Broadhurst bounce back and Hunter Sam with big KO win

Last Night seen the resurgance of 2 of Queenslands bright young Prospects.

Broadhurst in his first real test since Berridge beat the more expierenced and durable Kwadjo 21-5 over 8 rounds at Suncorp stadium.

good win for Braodhurst and easily his biggest win, lets see where he go's from here.

Hunter Sam knocked out 1-0 Samways in a devastating KO which saw Samways taken to hospital there after, all prays with samways on a healthy recovery, and i hope Hunter gets the fights he needs and deserves i still believe him to be a huge prospect and an exciting fighter, his record should look a lot healthier if not for a bit of bad luck, 1 fighter willing to take on all comers.

I interviewed him that night as well as Berridge and in all honesty was totally surprised with the result, Broadhurst adament he wanted a rematch down the track. Small steps first, and i would really like to see him in witha couple of quality up and comers, or quality journey men.

Ideas

Broadhurst vs Kariuki
Broadhurst vs the winner of Green/Van Dieman
Broadhurst vs Jones
Broadhurst vs Flanagan

Then tackle a rematch.

For Hunter Sam,

I would like to see him take on these blokes

Kyle Brumby
Nathan Briggs
George Poulivati

Broadhurst was always on slow and steady , until they made a mistake with Berridge ,, thats what his problem was he was fed easy fights and 100% wins , and they started to believe there own publicity , Berridge fixed that and i doubt they will let him anywhere near Berrifdge again , it will be back to the easy wins

Trent fought every one that would step into the ring with him.Cant see where your coming from coneye, Broadhurst & his camp asked all the top fighters in the country to come fight all bar a few turned him down. I rember a topic on this forum as to why Caperalla wont fight Broadhurst. :TU: If you rember Broadhurst was well in front when Berridge got him with a lovely punch. Broadhurst is Daniel Geales main sparing partner credit where credit is due.

Broadhurst vs either Van deimen or Green is a dangerous fight.
Vandeimen will walk through Trents punches and be right in his face. He would be to much for Trent imo. Green would be interesting. As he will box with Trent and has fast hands, Green also has big power in his punches.

Well neither should have a problem with a payday on fox in the future. Would be a good scrap, who in your opinion won Green or Van Dieman?

Dangerous fights is what we need more of, Greens record is as padded as it gets, he's had 2 rematches already against fall down fighters. Encourage the idea, it's good for the sport, and I agree with Colin, he was actually clowning Berridge, but so was the Nigerian. The hand of Berridge was beyond swollen after the fight, so it was a good punch..... ha

The fight & the whole show might be shown on Fox Sports in the near future. Decision will be made once overall production is viewed by Fox honchos.

I wont comment on who i thought won. My fellow jusges had a tough time judging it. It was a very tough fight.
Trent is a great boxer. He was doing well against Berridge. Although he did Wilter under the constant pressure. Hence my opinion Van Deimen beats him.
Green has been getting shit fights. He would admit that. Although he has had a fair few pull puts over the past couple of years.
Green is now fighting UFC/boxer Xavier Lucas on 30th August.
