I don't think he is top 5 or anything but I think the decision win over Foreman was a huge win for him

Probably because he wasn't the most interesting bloke to watch fight

He beat Ali, but...

The head outside the ropes thing was unmanly. I would like to have seen him try that against Frazier or Marciano.

He probably gets enough respect. Very good, not truly great.

I agree with this.

Young was still active when Foreman came back and called for a rematch, but George didn't give him one.

Don't forget Young's success against Ken Norton either.

No, Frazier "owned" Ali in the first fight they had.

Young, out pointed him...maybe. But Young must have found something distasteful about what Ali was servin' up, since he kept pokin' his head out of the ring. Was it for oxygen? Maybe Ali had gas? Not wearing his deodorant? Anyway, if he could have kept his damn noggin' inside the ring (where it belongs) maybe he could have "owned" the championship.
