When guys get excessively hyped I end up wanting to see them lose!

With as many bills as Matchroom have he can be brought along with very regular fights if he wants. He could be 10-0 a year after his pro debut if he wants to fight that often. OK he aint gonna be in with great opponents but maybe it's time to bring a heavyweight along like that. Doesn't seem to be doing Hughie Fury any harm.

He should have chose Frank Maloney. And yes, I'm serious.

Not to sound a sour note before Joshua has thrown a punch but he really was carried through the Olympics. He lost a couple of times. He looked stiff and laboured, a manufactured boxer. I don't think he'll make it.

He lost to the Cuban in my eyes but he is also very in-experienced went you think about it. He's a raw talent for me, it's all about how they bring him along and whether they find a trainer up to the job. Maybe he should have stayed am until the next Worlds who knows.

Prob worth cashing in the medal now then, his signing on fee would drop dramatically if he put in Average performances at the worlds or next olympics

x2 yes the right move coz fast becoming forgotten man and losing his value very quickly and would lose it even quicker with a couple of bad performances

Personally I think its a very clever move on Joshuas part -- Take the signing on fee and if it goes pear shaped after 2 or 3 fights could always go back amateur and regain his funding

He should stay in the AMs until after Rio. Still very raw and will be exposed to better standard oppo in a vest.

Yes mate. He did a near perfect job with Lewis and Kandelaki. Until the Price fight, he was inch perfect with Price.

I don't think you can. Once a Pro that's it, amateur is lost to you?

...I think currently you can have 4 professional bouts (The Ruslan Chagaev rule), but with the way AIBA are going...god knows what the future holds

A boxer who has relinquished his professional
licence and has not had more than 4 professional
bouts may rejoin Amateur Boxing as a Boxer.

Joshua as far as Im aware hasn't made his mind up yet whether to turn over, that's the first decision.
Having made that decision its who with.
Maybe Warriorboxing are speculating.

I think publicity-wise, the ship has well and truly sailed on this one.

Also the trend amongst medallists, is that more often they fail than succeed.

I like Joshua and to be honest when I speak as a Brit, I make no apologies for being glad he got a bit of a gift in the Olympics (despite it being wrong).

I wish him all the best, but like many others, will not hold my breath as the pro game is miles apart from the amateur code.
