This surprised me.
Especially as it seemed Sky only work with Matchroom.
You have to wonder if Fury pulls it off will that open some dates for Hennesy.
Thought Hearn was Hayes promoter now, obviously not.

Eddie has probably played a minor role in the tv negotiations. Just like when Ricky was asked to "go through" Eddie if he wanted his comeback on Sky and Dennis Hobson too. Both spat their dummy's out.

Maybe also Fury didnt want Hearn involved? He went off on Hearn a week or so back on twitter calling him a tit and to keep his nose out of their business or something along those lines.

Provided tv and probably provide some of the undercard.

Has it crossed anyone's mind that most of what Eddie says is complete self publicising crap? He hasn't signed Haye at all, it was all BS. Why would Mick and Adam need or even trust Eddie, when they have the ingredients for the event to sell out and do good PPV numbers? Eddie is about as trustworthy around other people's fighters as John Terry is at a Chelsea hen night. Mick lost Barker and Froch to Eddie so why would he want to break bread with him now?

Haye himself confirmed the promotional tie-up with Matchroom...

So then why would Hayemaker promotions let him say he was co-promoting? BeR in mind that half of the undercard will be match room fighters too.

F rank is spelt "F-r-a-n-k", not "E-d-d-i-e".

I don't believe Haye or Groves are fully fledged Matchroom fighters. They are Hayemaker and will, and have, use Frank and Eddie whenever it suits them. Not many can sign for Eddie one week and box on BOXn ation the next. Their contracts will give them the freedom to do whatever Booth sees fit.

when it comes to promoting the main event i m in no doubt his team will be pushing it but as far as making the fight happen he was just the go to for the sky connect and little else he holds the dates so he woulda had to give the initial tv date.
will we see any more of micks fighters on this card? i doubt we will see chris jnr, jdg so i guess eddie will have to provide chief support...shoulda made groves v froch same night ppv that would be really worth 15quid

You know something interesting.
Booth (yesterday) said he wanted Fury as an opponent as soon as he saw him singing in the ring after Cunningham (April 20th)
Hayemaker signs the co-promotional deal with Matchroom (April 28th/29th)
Its been about this fight all along.

Sorry Mickey lad, must have missed that. Though he was fighting Charr until the 14th May, and it looked like Fury v Pulev until later that month.

There's no mystery.
If you want to work with Sky, you have to go through Matchroom.
Sky's rules.

The rumours started before Haye's unfortunate ticket sales/hand injury meant the Charr bout was postponed.

You say that but in the interview Kugan did with Booth yesterday, Booth said he called up Barney Francis himself and asked if they would be interested in showing Haye vs Fury and Francis said yes.

.... And then referred him to Eddie Hearn !!
You cannot put a show on Sky unless it goes through Hearn. Barney's rule end of.

Barker was a free agent.
