i just saw the spinks and judah after press conf and it looks like Mayweather vs spinks will happen. Both of them seemed to be allready selling the fight after they exchanged words. I think Mayweather would beat Spinks

I'm not so sure. It's just like Spinks-Judah, a hard one to pick.

I find it laughable that anyone would give Mayweather a chance against Spinks. Compare the performances of Mayweather and Miguel Cotto vs Victorano Sosa. One guys struggles to put a dent in Sosa while the other rips him to shit rags. And Cotto is only a light-welterweight who flirted with lightweight for some time.

Now Floyd Jnr is going to step up to welterweight and topple the #1? Not on your life. I reckon too much has been made of Mayweathers recent stoppage win over the super-featherweight Phillip N'Dou.

KOJOE I apologise but I've somehow, with my moderating powers, managed to obliterate your post completely. I only intended on quoting you but dropped a bollock and wiped out the whole thing.

If Judah can test Spinks as seriously as he did last Saturday, Mayweather similarly would have a shot. I think it would be another dynamite fight. Props to Spinks for taking on all comers.

Difference is Judah was a puncher at 140 while Mayweather was not a puncher at 134.

I think Mayweather could beat him, Jones made a very good point in the commentary during the middle rounds where he basically said Spinks is a good boxer but doesn't have many tricks in his bag, I think that's what told in the fight, good start for Spinks but then Judah started to out-think him.
Mayweather would too, but good point that he may simply be too small.

I sometimes feel that because Mayweather is still unbeaten then people feel he can't be beaten, because of the tremendous force he was at 130.

He's just too small to jump up 3 weight divisions.

Don't worry, as Uncle Ben said to a young Spiderman "with great power comes great responsibilty"

Anyway-

Mayweather has bags of talent and skill, although a bit too much mouth for my taste. He's not been a puncher at Lightweight so I can't see him dominating at light-Welter or Welterweight, competative yes, but not dominant.

As for Mayweather Jr Vs Spinks it's a close fight but I lean towards Spinks on points.

Flamboyant Floyd for me.
