Unfortunately today Carl Frampton was overruled by the BBBofC that he cannot box this Saturday due to a old ear injury. We were passed

So we have 1 decent 50-50 fight. The Billy Joe Saunders fight which will be a routine win for BJS. And then a load of mismatches the rest of the way down the card.

Wow I can not wait.

Yeah and iirc Chisora v Scott doesn't start till 12.00am and BJS is after that. Not sure if the card will be rejigged though now due to the loss of the CF fight.

I've updated your thread on the schedule section. Big Chiz fights at 10 with BJS on straight after.

Apparently Buglioni has sold half of the tickets sold for the whole card. My guess is they put him on last to make sure his fans don't leave half way through

To be fair that's one more 50-50 fight than we had on the matchroom card.

He's no longer on the schedule. His career has stagnated something chronic.

The matchroom show last weekend was fantastic, a proper big show. This weekend's show is just a promoter wheeling out his stable. If his shows don't fall apart, its a fluke.

Yeah. To be clear I'm saying blackpanther is talking rubbish. Not that the match room card was rubbish. People who complain about Matchroom cards need to look at what else we get served up. I think the Matchroom undercards are better. Yeah they have more fighters but its not like the other main promoters haven't had their chance.

I agree matchroom cards are generally better and last Saturday's card looks better than this Saturday. I'm not complaining about the card. But beforehand; which fights exactly were 50-50 last Saturday's card? Hindsight is 20/20. Sure Matthews-Coyle was a cracking fight as was Brook-Jones. But beforehand Matthews was a clear favourite as was Brook over Jones according to the bookies.

Am I really talking rubbish?

EDIT: Guess I am talking rubbish  Okay I concede; Matthews - Coyle was a 50-50 fight according to the bookies also. It's just I would have thought Matthews would be a solid favourite given his better standard of opposition. Shows what I know

Basically every top 10 lightweight in Britain except Burns is a 50/50 fight in my eyes.

That's a good point, anyone of them can make a real name for themselves.

I'd just like to know the sequence of events that leads a Board affiliated doctor to rule a boxer out? Did Carl have an ear complaint so his team called the Board who in turn sent a doctor to look at him and the doctor ruled him out? Did he hurt his ear previously and the doctor picked it up and wanted to look at it again before he next boxed? Did Carl know he couldn't box because of his ear so his team called the Board doctor so it gave more credibility to him pulling out?

Maybe the sequence of events began with the arrival of one of those incredibly bouncy cheques.
