Doncaster must rank high in the most popular town for hosting boxing. Must be in top five at the moment.

Would love to see townend v maxi in Donny stefy. You would sell the place out. Hope politics don't get in the way with promoters and all that but suppose that's boxing isn't it.

Re read it, guessing u mean townend talking about SF. Thought Munroe had moved upto LW now. Either Townend or Maxi against Munroe would make for a quality fight. Good time to get him as well I reckon.

I didn't call him out.. Has I said what about Andy v munroe ?? = it was a question
Andy weighed 9.7 on day for curran it was too much for him and made him flat in the fight any man who knows boxing knows curran its much better than his record and a former junior aba champ and England international there was still nothing in the fight n if you watch it on the Coldwell app all the commentary team had Andy winning it.
Andy was an England international and junior champ he was *2 aba semi finalist lost to Hefferon on points holds KO wins over Tommy Coyal in Ams.
As a promoter I'm not scared to stick my fighters in proper fights come to my gym watch him spar World Champ day in day out then you will see he's capable of holding his own

fair point i cud have worded it better mate and curren is a tough lad saw him a few times and my cuz fought him a while back ( chris stopped him in 3 rounds). the point i was making is munroe has been a top domestic operator and by looking at andy's record he hasnt fought any one near munroes level granted he has moved up in weight it would b a very tough fight for andy. fair play i like to see lads b tested and not hav padded records and know how frustrating it can be to get people to fight against a decent kid. are u planning on making munroe an offer for the fight

Yes I have talked to his team I feel its a win win situation for Andy cos as long as he does himself justice in the fight then he has put his name out there has I promote regularly I can bring him straight back as a promoter I'm doing my best to put on the best fights possible and give Andy his due he will fight anyone he just wants to fight. Now with Randell having no promoter I'm giving him an opportunity to fight yes he has pedigree but at much lower weights and he's been very inactive his team will obviously want a straight shot at a super feather title but how can he when he's not boxed at super feather yet so he will have to earn 1 both the English and British are tied up and will be both contested over the next coming months which then leaves it till next year.. What's Randell going to do fight another foreign knock over job? I'm offering a 10 round fight I'm sure board would pass it as an English eliminator which then gives munroe a chance to be back into title mix at his new weight super feather it also gives my man a great opportunity :-) its a win win situation for both camps and a fight I'd love to put on I get on well with the shinfields were good friends in boxing there good people so hopefully the fight can be made they have plenty of notice and Father Time is ticking for Randall so why not? He's got no straight shot at a title so nearest thing is an eliminator :-)

How about townsend v Ronnie Clark?? Ronnie beat Curran in his last fight. With one hand also:) Ronnie is a class act and has fought Maxi Also to a draw:) I like the fact that doncaster dome is one of few events which offers 50-50 fights. fair play to the promotion team:)

Yes I do my best to put on 50/50 fights and small hall promoting is very hard to make a profit I try do my best to pay my fighters the best possible purse based on there ticket sales this makes things much easier when you make a 50/50 fight and you have 2 lots of fans coming to support the boxers. I promoted Clark v maxi and he didn't come cheap and didn't sell a ticket as he was the away fighter and respect he came in short notice but to make these kind of fights he would have to sell tickets n that would be hard work coming from Scotland to doncaster but yes your right it would be a good fight :-)

Yeah I came down for the maxi fight . Was only 5 of us but we only found out 2 days before it. Ronnie can sell tickets and always has even on his kickboxing days. For a 5 roud fight he took 50 people down to Newark. I totally understand where you come from though and ideally local fighters fighting each other sells tickets. I wish it was same on Scotland. Flocked with undefeated fighters willing to take a risk:)
