Anybody know when he is making his 1st defence of his 118 IBF Title??
All very quiet, probably down to the lack of TV deal, I'd think about taking him over to America to make his name over there.fightscorecollector wrote:Anybody know when he is making his 1st defence of his 118 IBF Title??
His promoter or manager said that was what they planned on doing.expe wrote:All very quiet, probably down to the lack of TV deal, I'd think about taking him over to America to make his name over there.fightscorecollector wrote:Anybody know when he is making his 1st defence of his 118 IBF Title??
The problem is the lack of a TV deal and suitable venues in Doncaster. The Ceja fight made a big loss and the Keepmoat is only realistically available once a year, the other option is the Doncaster Dome, but they can only fit 2,100 in there which isn't really enough to cover a world title fight. The other option is to go to Sheffield where there's bigger arenas but without a TV deal they'd have to sell a lot of tickets just to break even, so going to the US or fighting on the road is the best option.Autobarn wrote:i hope he can have more world title fights in Doncaster. because I fancy going. Jamie wins some close decisions, well deserved ones, but i'd hate to see the verdicts go against him away from home.
