How do we see it going? I favour BJS going on tonights performance but I think Ryder can make it a competitive fight. I think he's better than O'Sullivan to be fair.

I like the look of both of these fighters... if i had to bet maybe id go for ryder just for better odds.. itl be a very close fight... saying that i thought mitchell v burns would be close... but itl be an interesting match up .... good to see 2 very good prospects fighting each other...

I've never seen Ryder fight so have no idea how good he is. His records doesn't suggest he can beat BJS. But records can be deceptive.

BJS on last nights form will be hard to beat at this level.

Assuming BJS wins this, what is next for him? FW was talking him up for world level but is he ready yet for that...even the big British 3? Definitely heading in the right direction though.

Maybe Hope, Proksa or McEwan....decent semi-well known domestic names like this would be a good step up and stepping stone

He's another 18 months of quality sparring and power work before he's ready for the world title level; I think he'll have too much for Ryder all round; John was a novice champion as an amateur - Saunders at the Olympics at 17 - there is a real gulf in ability though Billy lacks real hitting power. It will be good to see how Saunders boxes a fellow southpaw, I rate Ryder but not at this level.

I fear he doesn't have anywhere near the level of punching power required at world level.

If he could beat an N'dam then there would be hope of an alphabet title in the distant future, but not right now.

To his credit, he boxed beautifully at times last night and his fitness was tremendous.

Another defence of the British title? Take the Lonsdale belt outright, plenty of potential opponents:
Hope
McEwan
Arron
Etches

Ryder has the ability to cut the ring down & impose his strength on bjs. Bjs has beutifull ability but can fall into the traveller pride & have a war which brings Ryder in

I think it's a close fight and could see Ryder edging it, though Saunders is proven against better opposition. If Saunders win I'd like to see him in with McEwan.

Still surprised this fight is actually happening.

Saunders is on a different level talent wise and pick him to come through in either a classic or clear win. Neither result would surprise me, but Saunders has all the tools and variety to overcome Ryder.

John Ryder have beat by knockout after two rounds my trainer Yoann Bloyer next week ! However, he has fought against Christopher Rebrassé, Tony Averlant and Doudou N'Gumbu and loose by point. I think John Ryder is very powerful !

He is powerful but quite straightforward in his approach and Saunders has faced big punchers before and seems to hold a shot well and is mobile and effective from differing angles. Ryder does not seem to have the power to knock Saunders out with one punch so I think Billy Joe will win on points.
