Sorry if this has already been posted somewhere but I can't see anything on it. Looks like they couldn't get the champ to travel which is fair enough, he will be a big draw over there now and I expect he will probably be packing the Bell Centre out with ease now.

Stevenson is a cross between mike tyson and darren corbett. Bellew gets beaten I think. I like tony but we have seen his level in recent fights. I do wish him all the best in his quest.

He’s a clever boxer. And, as I have said, he might give it all “I like a tear up” (and he does) but he’s also a man acutely aware of what he needs to do to win…to minimise the others guy’s opportunities.

The rematch with Ovil…the fight with Miranda…

Yes, this is a step up…yes, Stevenson will be favourite…but, Tony can win this fight. All big punchers coming off sensational KOs get overrated. Stevenson is no different.

Stevenson is fighting Cloud first, could struggle to win that one, then this fight will be stuffed if that happens.

I couldn't agree more with you. I've seen nothing of Stevenson that suggests he's a better boxer than Bellew and people get carried away with the KO of Dawson. Most of the other boxers than Stevenson have knocked over are nothing more than journeymen. Ofcourse Stevenson's the favourite, but this is a winnable fight for Bomber.

I don`t think he is getting sold short at all. He put up a great effort against Cleverly, but time will tell how good Cleverley actually is. Apart from that fight I have not been that impressed by Bellew.

He had power knocking over lower ranked guys, but I wouldn`t say he has the sort of power that Stevenson has. It`s not that løong ago that both Mackenzie and Ajisafe gave him all he could handle. it is a long walk from that kind of form to winning a world title overseas.

I will be rooting for him, but I just can`t see it happening.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Cleverly is a much better boxer than Stevenson and Bellew handled him quite well, if he can get away from Stevenson's power I think Bellew wins it on points (if scored right)

I agree. Tony doesn’t have Stevenson’s power. And he will have to come up with a game plan and stick to it. But…

When Tony was struggling with Bob and Ovil, Adonis was getting KO’d by a journeyman.

This is a live fight.

I've just watched the highlight thing (thanks columbo); Bellew can win this; Adonis is wild, i imagine he's not got the same power after 3 rounds; Bellew hits with correct form and leverage so can hit hard late on, he wants to get warmed up properly in the changing room beforehand though and they're likely to mess him about, leave him in the ring etc for ages.

If Cloud wins then he will have to defend against Bellew within 90 days too, so whoever wins Bellew is getting a shot.

Bomber punches a lot harder than people think, as illustrated by his numerous stoppages at heavyweight during the amateurs. However, his timing has been very poor in the last couple of years. When he connects flush with good timing then he is capable of knocking most people out.

Bomber has a good chance of winning this fight via stoppage because he is technically superior than Stevenson and arguably has a better chin (and/or recovery). Bomber was never knocked down in the amateurs, not even by a heavyweight and we should not deem him to have a poor chin due to the knockdowns he has suffered as a pro. Stevenson is very raw but arguably punches harder (albeit not by a big margin).

Are many picking Stevenson on the basis of one result? Break these two fighters down and I'm pretty certain that the parts that form Bellew contain far more significant worth than those of Stevenson.

This is as live a fight as you can get and unless Stevenson finds an early bomb this is going long and that favours Bellew.

He did not have a long amateur career hence why he did not have an established international amateur career. I believe he had less than amateur 50 fights with a very high knockout record (with headguards at a higher weight). I think it's more about timing rather than power. I have carefully analysed his fights ringside and his timing has been very poor during the last 2/3 years, he rarely lands a clean power punch. I believe he is trying a bit too hard to go for the knockout and as a result is very tense which then leads to poor timing. If he stays relaxed and does not go for the knockout then his timing will improve. He is very heavy handed, no doubt about that.

Bellew seems to try far to hard to land that one telling power punch and often leaves himself wide open. Stevenson has raw power in that left hand and as we have seen time and time again Bellew is too easy to hit. I can see him getting stopped against Adonis Stevenson.

Would love to see Bomber win this Stevenson, what Stevenson was convicted of was disgraceful and I don't want to see Stevenson around for long.

Location probably won't matter because Stevenson is a wild puncher who will be coming to win by KO. He'll either get it or he'll walk onto something because he's vulnerable himself and Bellew can certainly crack himself.

Tony struggles at times when he's had to go looking for the opponent and he's 'forced' his punches in pursuit of landing a bomb. But that won't be the case this time. He'll have an opponent who'll be coming at him. Bellew's live in this one imo.

Bellew can hit but has seemed to go into bouts imagining that the first time he connects the fight is over, he can box really fluidly and if he keeps his head he will chin Adonis but he gets himself so wound up; why does he do that to himself? I reckon the press conference will be worth watching and if Tony wins I hope he does the Adonis/Corbett dance around the ring for posterity.
