Good fight, very tough styles wise, won't be a stoppage but both will be trying to win, not good for the telly though.

Awful fight, really awful.

I don't mean it will be a good fight to watch, but it will be a good fight for both of them to learn things they can use later on in their careers, I'll not watch it from start to end, I can appreciate Skeet in Boxing News but not on the telly.

I don't think it is an amazing bout but Gavin has to fight someone decent and both Khan and Brook have other plans, Skeete has a lower ranking than is ability demands and needs a decent bout; both need to fight to earn a wage and that's it. No one really good with a high ranking will box Skeete as he looks a nightmare to box and is fit and tough.

It's a good fight as in both will have to think and set traps to score points, if either takes the other than less than serious than they'll get surprised. It won't be a thriller but there is no one boxing at domestic title level that can test either Frankie or Bradley, Khan and Brook are well above and have proven it; Lee Purdy and Colin Lynes are excellent but box hot and cold.

Skeetes pulled out now accepted,yesterday but pulled out today

M. Hatton, Lynes, Purdy, Theophane, O'Donnell, Watson & Foot are all better opponents than Skeete.

Are Hatton, Lynes, O'Donnell and Watson even boxing anymore? They've gone so quiet that I haven't noticed; Foot is a good boxer and has a tough fight lined up, Theopane was the weight below wasn't he (for any bouts that have meaning), Purdy would be a good fight. In any case Skeete has pulled out, what for? So we'll see who out of those mentioned will put up a better fight.

It's only one more fight to win the Lonsdale belt outright. A fight against Hatton would be a good measuring stick against Brook and Purdy would be a measuring stick against Alexander. They aren't bad fights for him at this stage.

This fight reminds me of Heffron/Vassell. It's a win/win fight for the promoter and he has a tick in the "contractual obligations" box for each fighter.

Frankie would beat all of them, and while Bradley wasn't the most worthy contender, he may have had a hunger no longer in some of the fighters above. I'm not saying Skeete was my ideal choice, but for example, does Theophanes last two fights (or indeed his reign) mean he's earned a title shot? Has Watson or Lynes done enough yet to deserve another title shot? Styles make fights, and Matt Hatton was cut to order for Frankies style.

The problem is, had it not happened, the best opponent now would have been Vassell, but it did and we saw what happened there. I hope Frankie stays active, and the opponents standing will subseqently improve as he elevates beyond the domestic scene.

Frankie is number 20 in the world on the boxrec 147lbs rankings ! I know it's not the best barometer but I feel it's fair, maybe Matthew hatton in September but by the end of the year or early next year I would love to see him in the ring with someone like paulie malignaggi ! It's time to shine and 2014 is big statement time, his going to make some good fighters look ordinary next year

Agree with most here. Not a fight I would pay for or be looking forward to watching. Hopefully the opponent will make for a better fight.
