Jimmy Bivins Biography

Has anyone here read this book on the life of Jimmy Bivins?
It was published in 2011 when he was still alive.

Here is Jimmy Bivins obit from the July 2012 edition of the New York Times.
With a good overview of his boxing career.
Some of the more depressing aspects of his later years were not even
mentioned in the book though.

Didn't know about this Biography. Sounds interesting. He fought so many good/great fighters, yet you really don't hear a whole lot about him.

He's certainly one of the best fighters from around these parts. My father saw him fight quite a few times in Cleveland, primarily after the war.

Jimmy Bivins prime years are thought to have been 1940-1945.
So mainly it could be bad timing for him in those years.
He fought and defeated 8 different fighters who would later become world champions.
I think the main reason fewer people have heard of him was because he never did
get a title shot.Something about him having a "bad Atititute" is usually given for it.
