Amir Khan parts company with manager Asif Vali

Just received this press release. I wonder as to who will manage his affairs from now on. I hope he hires someone professional rather than doing it by himself (or within the family).
BOLTON (July 30, 2013) – Boxer Amir Khan and business manager Asif Vali have parted ways after mutual agreement.
Vali leaves Premier Consultancy UK, the sports management company founded in 2005, after eight years.
Amir Khan, said: “I would like to sincerely thank Asif for all his hard work and wish him the very best for the future.”
Shah Khan, father of Amir, added: “Asif has done a tremendous job since Amir turned professional and I would like to express my gratitude to him.”
Asif Vali, said: “I would like to wish Amir and his family the very best for the future. I have enjoyed my time working with them and plan to remain in boxing as I explore new exciting ventures.”

I thought they were virtually family from the things I've seen, very surprising. Hopefully he was the unreasonable voice blowing too much smoke up Amir's arse and he can plot a sensible path of progression back to a world title again, rather than nonsense talk of beating whoever at 147lb having never fought there.
I like Amir, really hope this works out for the best.

He will have done a decent job behind the scenes but word on the street is that PR wise he wasn't the best.
Wish him well - looks like he's going to spring up somewhere else in boxing.

Alex Ariza claimed that Asif Vali used to be a taxi driver. It may or may not be true. He does (or did) run a minibus firm which allegedly lost their license earlier this year due to a defective minibus being given to a customer.

He's had several companies dealing with cars. Not much consistency there. Doesn't look so good on the surface.

Speculation but perhaps at this stage Khan doesn't need him and wants to keep all the money as he nears what might he his final handful of fights?

His team are not the sharpest they will need someone good to negotiate for them if like you say he is looking to maximise his earnings before the wheels come off .

Very interesting reading because I remember not long ago Ifilm london done an interview with Asif and Amir at one of matchroom's shows and it looked like there was some kind of negotiations going on to make the fight with Brook. I wonder how that sits now this has happened.

There has been some drama on Saj Mohamed's twitter account where he alleges that Amir's uncle (i.e. Shah's brother and cricketer Sajid Mahmood's dad) physically attacked him today. Saj is a member of team Khan and is Amir's best mate. It seems drama follows them ....
I've never been a fan of Asif or Saj and they did not do a good job for Amir's PR but that's merely my opinion.

Pretty much. He's the one who started all the Katie Price (Jordan) rumours, etc. Seemed like he wanted to capitalise on Amir's fame for his own benefit .... allegedly
