Who has the most fights?

Just bumped into this record

I remember this guy stopping Kirkland Laing some years ago. But the name Buck Smith also had some stories behind it but cannot think what?? Maybe more than one person fighting as the same person not really sure.

He fought twice on the same night I believe.

Peter Buckley had a hundred more than Buck though Smith has a good winning %. I can remember the Buck Smith v Laing bout and Buck could punch and had a lot of belief in himself. Yory Boy Campas has a decent winning record.

Great find, amazing to think he had that many fights, and on the footage he didn't seem to shy away from a punch up

Wickwar's stablemate George Marsden had quite a few as well

Boxing historians are still finding unrecorded fights for the pre war boxers.
Jimmy Wilde claimed to of had 800 fights. which was probably an exaggeration, but he certainly had more than the 152 recorded for him, He started out in the boxing booths so would of had many a fight there, obviously these were not pro fights.

I know Nico Thomas, the former Indonesian world champion also had a lot more bouts than he's credited with, though he's unlikely to have gotten over 100.
