Barker on the Froch v Groves card

Anyone else getting the distinct impression that Hearn is waiting for the outcome this weekend with a view to having 2 World title fights on one bill of boxing?
Because that is what I think.
November 23rd is the date for Froch v Groves btw.

Would make a lot of sense, I think Hearn well knows this PPV flies or dies on its undercard. Has got to be a stacked card.

Barkers win and then his first defence on this card will have Fast Car running out of wank socks

He has made it clear that if it is PPV the undercard will be stacked. Which along with the stalling on the announcement of the venue and the date intimates to me he is waiting for something.
It wouldn't surprise me if Barker wins that Mathew Macklin is the one offered the fight.

Eh? Thought it was the 30th
Tony Sims interview for iFilm the other day said November 23rd.
There were initial dates being bandied about for Tony Bellew's trip to Canada/USA being the 30th of November. That may be a fallback to have it the same night as that (or maybe that's what they are going to do and the rumours I'm hearing are wrong.)

I think Bellew will be fighting Stevenson in December if it's this year. Adonis is already lined up to fight Cloud so he'd need some time to rest before fighting Tony.

I think the WBC have said he can take the Cloud fight as long as he fights Bellew within 90 days of that bout.

Dont ya think they will give him an easy first defence if he wins it?
Lee, Macklin etc are tough fights for Barker.

I don't know the ins and outs, but he probably not his 'full cousin'. They will be somewhere down the line, though and most Traveller families would just say it without going into the first, second, third cousin etc route.

Ricky Burns v Anthony Crolla
Darren Barker v Andy Lee
One of those will be chief support

Crolla

Is he really the best opponent they can get for Burns?

Sure I heard from Hearn on ifilm that Felix Sturm is mandatory. Didn't the Soliman result get cancelled because he failed a drug test ???

I think the IBF recognise the result, but surprise, surprise, the German board don't.

The more I see of Geale the less chance I feel Barker has. I think he'll lose a wide decision.

Ricky Burns has got to defeat Raymundo Beltran first. But I do like the idea of Burns v Crolla though and Barker v Lee will be a tasty match up as well.

What has Crolla done to deserve a world title fight? He has nothing to trouble Burns and has been beaten numerous times at domestic level.

I don't think he has earned it but just feel that's the way they well go with it. They'll run the domestic angle as a show. Froch/Groves Burns/Crolla and one more decent British title fight they'll think that's PPV worthy.

I feel barker is overlooking Geale. His promotors may be putting the cart before the horse here
