One of the purists on here. Two of the great defensive masters in Floyd Mayweather v Pernell Whittaker whose your pic?

Whitaker on points.

Floyd has been standing it the pocket more the past few years, but was more offensively aggressive earlier on. I like the later versions' chances better against Whitaker, so I'm going to say Whitaker UD at 135-140, and Floyd UD 147 and above.

I don't think any of these fights would be blowouts by any stretch though, so they could be split or majority decisions anyway.

Very close fight, I can see Floyd scoring 1 or 2 flash knockdowns but the difference with two defensive wizards for me is Pea throwing 70 or 80 punches a round as opposed to 40 or 50.

I like Floyd in this fight. Both men are defensive wizards, but I feel like Floyd is a bit harder of a puncher and would have more potential to score a knockdown or fight changing difference in the fight.

It would go the distance for sure though, I think Floyd would win a close decision.

Seems about right.
Pernell suffered his share of flash knockdowns in his career. In a fight with Mayweather, that could mean the difference in the verdict.
