What would have happened if Spencer had beaten Quarry and met Ellis a few months later for the WBA tournament title?
This topic assumes Spencer was in shape for the fight.
What kind of a fight would it have been?

If Spencer was worried about Quarry's right hand as his one person fan club alleges then he wasnt going to beat Ellis. Who had a very quick right hand that could crack.

Benito, you remind me of that Viz character Aldridge Pryor, the hopeless liar.
You need to search for some granberry posts and learn from the master.
That guy had boxbuzz eating out of his hand with the O. J. story, whereas even poor old buzzy, junior trainee boxing historian feels confident in poking fun at your posts.
That's tragic.

So Spencer would beat Ali but lose to Ellis - what a joke.

well considering ellis is a smaller poor mans version of ali id say the comparison and guffaws at your ascertion are warranted.

If A beats B, and B beats C, then A must beat C,,,,,,,,,,,,"Wrong"
George Foreman - Ken Norton - Muhammad Ali..........
You want to keep playing....... 'Steve O'
Joe Frazier - George Foreman - Muhammad Ali
Thomas Hearns - Roberto Duran - Ray Leonard
Max Schmeling - Max Baer - Joe Louis
Ali beat all those men.
Leornard beat both men.
Joe Louis beat Schmeling surely you can come up with some better matches than that as for why styles make fights it really only works when one guy can't beat the other at all.

Thad Spencer defeats Cassius Clay in a match-up of styles.....
When I asked you the other day you said Ali to win?????
Come on be consistent and add some credibility to your claims?
Once again you are being cantankerous to encourage controversy. You are very thorough (although I am led to believe a 'Walter Mitty type') Il Duce so why defame your reputation by being this way??
You obviously have heaps of time and you are good at research. Like a marriage lawyer. Never can rely on the truth.

Thad Spencer was supposed to face Eduardo Corletti in the United Kingdom on April 30, 1968,
in a Heavyweight Elimination bout.
If Thad Spencer won, he would face new WBA Champion Jimmy Ellis in August 1968.
If Eduardo Corletti won, he would face the 'new' World Champion - Joe Frazier in September 1968.

lol. ali would have to pull it out on a late round rally. hilarious. do was it thads domination of an older, smaller jones, his competetive win against terrell, or his fight with london that makes you reach this ludicrous conclusion.
its funny that you give thad credit for losing to lhw chuck leslie because leslie was jab, clinch, move type fighter but think he would be difficult for a guy 40 pounds heavier, much faster, stronger, harder hitting, more durable, etc
ali

thad

you realize ali's ko percentage is twice thad spencers and %25 more than ellis despite spending a longer time at the top then either. so much for that pointless theory...
btw you realize that thad only fought one of those names you listed and got dropped and lost more rounds against him than ali..
