Propaganda posts/posters

You know, sometimes a thread will appear, started by somebody who has just joined or has joined a little while ago but has hardly any posts, that just argues a point that we all know is flat out wrong like argues that a clearly bad decision is right or slags someone off that shouldn't be slagged off or defends someone that shouldn't be defended and... Well I'm waffling a bit. But don't you think it'd be pretty easy for promoters etc to come on here under names and just use a few different accounts to spin something out? I don't post that much but I read the forum almost every day and I recognize most usernames and sometimes there are posts from people I've never heard of really pushing a point, and maybe a similar poster who agrees with them too, that makes me think: that's not a boxing fan. That's some propaganda sh*t from someone's management.
It's a really obvious thing to do. Anybody else ever thought that?

Yes, it's probably fairly common.

As an aside, the Frankie Gavin vs David Barnes match-up has come in for a bit of stick and, on the face of it, I can understand why. The truth is though, Barnes is looking back to his best in the gym and I fully expect him to give Frankie all the trouble in the world. David seems to have a new lease of life, a hunger that I thought had gone. I know you don't always get the full story from sparring but the way he's knocking guys out is scary.

I think there's a good chance that the posters with only a few posts to their name, who start threads to argue a point, probably only signed up to argue that point, that's why they have so little posts. They probably feel so strongly about something they feel the need to register and post, whereas usually they just browse.

I know a lot of the pro's go under different names on here. I think Adam Booth once said David goes onto the forums a few days leading up to his fights to see what people are saying about him and often participates.

I kind of agree with this. I do not know how to search all my posts but im sure the reason I came here was for that reason. I did not expect to stick around that is the reason I chose a shocking name also, Fcuking Mimmy!! what a gay name! The reason I chose this so quickly was because of tom cruises wife, Mimmy Rodgers. She was on tv at the time I joined.

Just look for someone who backs Haye and hasn't posted for ages before the fight.

Yeah

that's the one that made me start the thread. I think that's David Haye right there. But I've seen worse. I can't remember them properly, but I've seen worse. But seriously, who reviews hours of tape of Haye and Fury and thinks Fury comes out on top? In most of Fury's fights he looks terrible. It's only the past few fights where he's done anything good. Against Rogan he pulled something new out of the bag, fighting lefty. He beat Johnson but I picked Fury in that fight from the start because Johnson is... fornicating crap. Fury was always going to win that. Against Cunningham he muscled his way to a win. If he fights the same way against Haye (I don't think he will) he dies in less than 3 rounds. He's fun, I like him, but I see Tyson Fury getting mullered in this fight, and that's from following both fighters for years and watching every fight they have.
I'd be amazed if Fury won.
On a side note, who's going? I have decent seats. Not ringside, but pretty good. Is it going to be a big boxrec turnout?

Where & who's training him.
He looked useless when he dropped to l.welter but done it ok apparently was it nuuembe who caused him to drop down from welter?
I felt Vincent was clearly robbed by him aswell.
