Thanks lads.ive been very lucky throughout my career getting on so many big shows.i fully embraced my role as a journeyman from the very start of my career.i knew I was never good enough to win any major titles so from before I started I said I'd have 100 fights. Most laughed tbh.it was great seeing the very good boys who boxed me go on to bigger things.ive always been respected and given plenty of press for which I'm extremely proud & grateful.i have my final fight booked at the York hall on 29sept.ive dreamed of this fight for the last 6 years.im in the home corner & I'm not losing.for once!

i have a full length docu to be screened on bt sports Like I said. There's boys who've had more than me but I boxed some very very good fighters on some very big shows. I always tried my best to be good to watch and not take myself too seriously Maybe that's why I got plenty of recognition but lads like delroy,Sid,Kristian and a couple of others fully deserve it too.i respect every one of em 100%

As a huge boxing fan I appreciate a journeyman as much as i do a world champion. Johnny is one of the best.
Made up when you followed me on twitter mate. :OhYes:

Got to agree. If we didn't have journeymen, the sport would be lost.

I honestly think that though the champions are better athletes the journeyman are better characters I'd sooner spend some time with someone who knew about winning and losing and didn't have things in their favour all the time; some of them have funny stories too.

The thing with certain journeyman( and i put Johnny in this category)is that although technically sound they know they are not world beaters but still go out to entertain the crowd. Something I think Johnny does very well the ali shuffle will always get a cheer
