Should be a Chisora points win if he rocks up in the kinda shape he did against Scott or in better shape than he did against Scott.

Bostov appears to bottle fights against decent fighters. He did the same against fury. Easy fight for Chisora, its just a case of him doing it in style and taking him out. Sprott beat this gut quite easily in Germany, Chisora should have no problems.

Gerber looked like he had potential a few years back...then hit a plateau

Neither Chisora nor Gerber may be potential world champion superstars, but they are both perfectly adequate Euro level competitors. This is a well balanced, intruiging match up unless I missed the part of Chisora's career where he was suddenly elevated above proving himself against his peers in order to win titles and move up the rankings.

I think it's good for Chisora to have some bouts against the likes of Scott and Gerber instead of just operating at the lower ends (e.g. Avila, Ziausys) or very high ends (e.g. Haye, Vitali, Helenius) of the division.

It helps him build momentum, increase the wins on his record (I've heard 'he's lost his last few' as a criticism numerous times), and improve his ranking, while the opponents are good enough in my view to give him at least a bit of a fight, but not so good that he'll probably lose.

I think Gerber is better than you seem to think he is.

He stopped Sprott the first time (controversially, but Sprott was dropped hard and I think would've been stopped legitimately had he continued) and the rematch was close. He's lost a fair bit of momentum and apparently struggled in his last bout, but it's premature to label him a journeyman and perhaps he'll really be up for this fight given that a win earns him a meaningful belt and a world ranking.

But this is exactly the type of fight that will prove either way whether they are leagues apart. I would argue that Chisora's defeats to Fury and the manner of his loss to Haye would suggest that he is in very much the same league as Gerber. In football parlance, I see this as something like Wigan (Chisora) v Derby (Gerber) - Both 2nd tier, one with an eye on returning to the top table and one looking to consolidate and not descend into the lower reaches. To say this is a poo fight just smacks of the usual fighters-who-lose-should-just-retire attitude that seems to prevail on this forum.

I would back Chisora to win, but would be no more than about 60% confident.

It is a good addition to an already deep card with 4 title fights on the bill. It is a good step up in class for Gerber but Chisora should do it.

Another good card from Warren, 5 title fights, and although none are 50-50 fights, 3 are between unbeaten fighters. Hopefully Collins Jr is televised this time, be good to see what sort of level he's at right now.

They look pretty tasty match ups. It is good to see two unbeaten Middleweight prospects in Billie Joe Saunders and John Ryder get it on for the British title with BJS looking to get his Lonsdale belt. You have got Frankie Gavin going in with David Barnes who is a two weight British champion which I don't think is going to be easy for Gavin although Barnes has been inactive. Liam Walsh and Joe Murray looks interesting and it is good step up for Joe Murray as Walsh has got some solid wins against Paul Appleby a former British Featherweight champion and a ageing Scott Harrison so it is interesting.

On paper this fight should go to Chisora... Anyone who loses to current Sprott aint so good. It just makes me wonder why sauerland wants this fight to happen? I think they belive in Gerbers chances to win it. If they would want to cash out Gerber they would probably let one of their own top fighters take the scalp. Maybe they know something I dont.... Or they are planning to feed Chisora to someone of more note. Pulev, Helenius and Boytsov come to mind. Hmm will be intresting to see how things turn out :geek2:
