Make or break for Jimmy tonight...

Jimmy Vincent takes on Harry Dhami at the St Andrews Sporting Club in Glasgow tonight in an eliminator for the British welterweight title held by David Barnes. If Vincent ever hopes to secure a deserved rematch with Barnes, he's going to have to earn it. Dhami is fighting on his manager Tommy Gilmour's promotion and has beaten plenty of good men.
Jimmy is on the weight at least. Saw him scoffing a Mars Bar at a show in Rugby on Good Friday.

Good luck to Jimmy - hope he does it.

Bennie did Norton look in form on his ring return? I know the fight was short and who's promotion was it?

Yeah, Rob looked good, but Scott-Briggs is not in the fittest-looking guy in the world nowadays and was no test really. What a nice guy Rob is, incidentally!
Promoter was Jack Weaver, who has Norton, Richard Swallow, etc, etc. Another show due on June 4.
How was Dudley, by the way? Heard it turned into a good night.

Yes it was an enjoyable night at the Town Hall in the end, a review is over at http://www.britishboxing.net

It was a shame about the loss of Jacko and Mutley but the other fights on the card, aside from Rob's brothers, held up well.

I will try and make Weaver's next show.

He's a good prospect, unbeaten. Terrible Terry will know all about him.
Incidentally, anyone know if Vincent won?
