Does anybody ever watch those boxing classics they show late at night on channel 5? I have watched a few Muhammad Ali fights, but also show a lot of classic fights from British talent like Eubank, Benn, Naseem Hamed and Lennox Lewis. I saw an interesting once with Hameds first three fights on once.

Yeah I do well usually tape em to be fair, there some classic stuff on there.
Loved the special they did on Sugar Ray even if poor old Turpin did take a minutes far too much punishment in that fight., Brutal.
But yeah sometimes though they choose strange fights to show.
One of the benn fights was a bit of a damp squib to be showing after he had been in so many classics. (Believe it was the williams fight they showed)
Belive these fights come fomr the ESPN archive so guess it depends what action they have on tape.

its not the ESPN archive.
its just re-runs of that crappy british tv channel that would play re-runs of ITV fights on cable with their crappy commentary.
nothing to do with the ESPN american stuff.

i remember watching that particular fight j because it had a autobiography of jack johnson after it.
they showed benn beating sanderline williams on points during his stint in the states when he was ressurecting his career over there, although benn won, he looked a bit unsteady at times and the american commentary team were not overly impressed.
i think teddy atlas was doing the commentary if my memory serves me right.
it didnt seem like a itv program to me anyway.
