I am interested in peoples thoughts on Ricky Burns mindset prior to last nights fight and how becoming a father(for the first time) so close to the fight potentially effected him.

I know there are probably some who will say "another excuse" but I think its pretty clear that he was v fortunate to hold on to his title,so that aside I was looking at previous weigh ins i.e mitchel and cook and even gonzalez and there was a imo a different air around Ricky than the happy, smiley side at Fridays weigh in http://youtu.be/bCAoVRe_eVY.

I would be interested in Billys thoughts but first would like to wish Ricky a speedy recovery, I for one take my hat off to him for sticking it out ...many would have quit !!

Definitely had an effect, they said he slept in the spare room, but the baby will have still woken him up at night, he looked tense in the first round, came out and threw a big combination, he was talking back in the corner, nothing we've seen from him before.
