Callum Smith

First time to see him was Saturday night. Looks huge at the weight and very powerful.

Has he always been considered the best of the Smiths or it is just down to matchmaking? Five consecutive 1st round KO's is very impressive, but this latest opponent Eubank Jr took on in his debut.

Did he have an amateur career and how did he fare?

He was a good amateur, a regular in the gb squad and for most of that he was boxing down at welter weight! I like the look of him so far, very tall and rangy but works the jab well with spiteful combos to head and body, he looked very sharp on Saturday night, looking forward to seeing him in his future fights.

Have a look at his last opponent and see who hasn't knocked him out.

Yes, but Groves and Eubank Jr both fought him on their pro debuts, not their 7th bout.

Hes has looked good but needs a test. Luke blackledge or tobias webb would make great fights and be a big test for smith

He would've been at the London olympics but he was robbed at qualifying. He was a decent amateur. Looks the part so far in pro's, still young too. His brothers have always called him the best. I expect big things. Up against Patrick Mendy next, altho he's a middleweight he's durable. Should take him the rounds.

Well if he's fighting Patrick Mendy in his next fight we should see what he's about. That's a really big step up.

I think Joe Gallagher picked him as the most talented guy in his gym a few weeks back on ringside.

Paul,Stephen and Liam have all admitted that Callum is the most talented boxer out of all of them, whether that means he,ll go on to achieve the most remains to be seen but he definitly looks the part so far

Im a fan of his. He's a very clever boxer who can also punch. As others have stated, he's also enormous for the weight! Isnt he like 6'3?

Yeah he claimed on saturday that theres more chance of him moving down to MW than moving up to LHW :o

Mendy has had most of his fights at Super Middle, he went the distance with Anderson and won PF at that weight. I don't think he's ever fought at Light Middle.

Smith v Mendy is a decent match up, hope it gets made.

I don't like to hear that!!he has a big frame & could easily end up a l.heavy even a cruiser!
I think he'd make 12st pretty comftable but can pack some muscle on & tighten up at the weight.
Personally I don't want to see him rushed as he's a pup & taking hard fights to early despite winning them could ruin his progression IMO.
All the smith brothers are very good box/fighters I really like how Callum uses his natural attributes & works of his jab he does look class & I don't want to see how tough he is & tested to early in title fights I think he could be special

You dont want to have him fighting a lot of stiffs either though as that would be detrimental aswell. You only have to look at Price to see how that approach ends up. He was fighting a lot of domestic level fighters and was pretty much out of his depth when he got put in with Thompson in terms of dealing with the experience.

Price is close to thirty & I don't think McDermott,Skelton, sexton,Harrison are bums?

Im not saying they're bums *Harrison may be debatable though and skelton is about 90* but he went from fighting domestic level opposition to fighting a guy who was a genuine world class fighter.
