Castillo late stoppage. Kostya Tszyu's biggest weakness was talented pressure fighters...guess what Castillo is?

Tzyu had more pop than Diego....and does not get tired.....it's a bad night for Castillo.

Switch the names and you're right. I have little doubt JLC beats Kostya. Not because he's better than him necessarily, but because he's all wrong for him.

I think Castillo in 140 not better than Ruelas,Gonzalez or Hurtado.

We'll never know for sure how good JLC was at 140, I just think he has the style to beat Kostya, and I know JLC regularly competed at 147 (albeit in meaningless non-title bouts) in his prime.

Well that was the older version. I suppose we mean the peak Mayweather scaring one.

Right, that's the one I'm picturing too.

Castillo by decision, too skilled and tough in his prime for Kostya.

Tszyu lost to those who prevented him from boxing, and Castillo stylistically similar to Ruelas,Gonzalez.Tszyu are powerful puncher,рis power that used to be enough to knock out Сastillo :bag:

Plus it's just one of the worst style matchups for Kostya, he's not a good inside fighter while JLC is a damn good inside fighter, he'd start getting inside on Kostya, and there wouldn't be much Tszyu could do about it.

He never knocked out anyone like Castillo. And the other guys couldn't carry his jock strap. Do you have JLC confused with someone else?

I always thought it was a shame Kostya never fought any of the greats of his day, like ODH, mosley, floyd, (go up in weight) Ike Quartey, Trinidad. Win over prime Judah was impressive though, but trying to fit him in with the other greats can be challenging with little to go on. Sometimes I felt Kostya got tagged a bit too often, and against those top guys he would have been out-boxed and stopped.
