Nice of the prison service........

To let john Fury out to support his son. Maybe the bloke who lost his sight would also like to go too, also I wonder if Dennis Neilson, and Peter Sutcliffe fancy ringside seats also. There are a few armed robbers that would love to get a day pass to go shopping. Maybe Beverley Hallett and Rose West fancy going to the races that day too.

It would cause just as much controversy if any of the judges that where in scotland at the weekend were at ringside

If it was one eye, an irrevocable act of thuggery I agree, then I'm like, yeah - why not? If he gouged out both the man's eyes then no - let him sit in his cell and miss it, for definite.
If he does get out it's a huge shot in the arm for Fury and a bad one for Haye. Unless his Dad's gonna be strapped to two coppers all night, as that would unsettle/ upset me a bit, and wouldn't be worth the risk. You need to be upbeat, not feeling sad for your Dad walking round taped up to a pair of burly coppers.
If this is from that shite-rag the Daily Mail I imagine they'll be livid. They only like wealthy white people that are native to this country, innit.

So if it's one eye it's ok but two no?

Its not from any news paper its from Boxrec himself
http://news.boxrec.com/news/2013/john-f ... -take-haye
I just dont think its fair. 1989 I got married my brother was in prison for a minor offence, they would not let him out to see me get married, yet 4 months later they let him out in a box when he got killed in there.
Its just not fiar, im sure there are thousands of families around the UK that would dearly love to see their children, husband wife etc who are serving offences let out to celebrate a family occasion. But isnt it a fact that they are in prison for a reason?

maybe. Gouging out both eyes would take longer, would require more premeditation and the effects - blindness, would be much worse. Maybe he intended to gouge out both but got interrupted, who knows?
Maybe he should stay put then.....I was looking at it from Tyson's POV also.....but if it was
both eyes then most definitely let him rot, imo.

He is being let out on day release anyway for good behavior and has applied for the fight date to be the next one.
Even though he was sentanced to 11 with continued good behavior he is looking at 4 behind the door.

yes mate I saw it on Boxrec - I was going to post it myself - but it says they got it from the Daily Mail.
Sorry to hear about your bro's situation. That must be hell. I'm sure they let people out on day release all the time but I really don't know how they work these things.
My Dad once flew 5,000 miles for a title fight, then flew 5,000 miles back the next day - but he still missed plenty of others, such is life.
Wanting to be somewhere and being
able to be or
allowed to be aren't the same thing. Personally - if he's behaved himself, shown remorse (?) and it's within the legislation (which it will be, special circumstances etc) then I'd let him attend. Somebody's got a decision to make.

Where do you draw the line?? someone gouges somes eye out so in effect a life changing injury. Does a drug addict who mugged a pensioner get out for a day?? Does a kid who done armed robbery but not shot anyone?? My brother was killed in Ashington up Northumberland way back in 89 and only set fire to a table in a derelict building. Went in for 4 years at 16 and almost finished his sentance at 18 then was killed. He didnt harm no one. Yeh, times have changed I suppose but its all shite.

that's horrendous mate. Jesus. It really doesn't bear thinking about. I've done stupid things drunk but setting a table on fire in an abandoned building hardly sounds like crime of the century. Probabaly community order thesedays.
Don't get me wrong - an eyegouging is a cowardly, heinous crime that will cause both lasting physical and mental aggravation - possible/ probable long term depression.
The more I think about it, the more I say keep him in there and he can listen to if on 5Live. I want to watch it too but I ain't got Sky so that's what I'll be doing!
I wasn't trying to compare one crime to another - sorry!....I was just thinking it'd be nice for Tyson Fury tbh. The fact he's eligible to apply for day release, despite his crime, suggests that he'll get it.
Prisoners are still people and at some point this guy's got to play a role in society again. Is the best way to prepare him for that to keep him in a cell for 23 hours a day for 11 years?

Coco,
Day release licence conditions apply. Special permission would have to be granted to be in any location where alcohol available for instance. If he gets this its equivalent to swimming the channel.

Doubt it will happen but if it does would it not be a distarction for and extra pressure on Tyson?

I thought that. I never though the old man was of benefit when he was out, kind of overshadowed Tyson in a pushy dad sort of way. I remember thinking when he got sent down that could be the best thing for tysons career.
I can see it being on his mind and Tyson trying too hard to impress.

You know i dont condone what John did that day at that car auction, i bet there ent a day goes by that John and the Fury family regret his actions ,it was to far and excessive ,but to compare him ,a family man with no previous convictions to that of rapists, nonces, mass murderers is just about the most stupid thing i have ever read .

If this is granted, it's just another in an extremely long list of what's wrong with our justice system
... Jon Venables going to see United, tax dodgers get harsher sentences than peados because the queen a little out of pocket etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc

Who is Jon Venables?
Killed James Bulger. Hardly comparable to John Fury winning an "all in" fight.
