What happens if Canelo doesn't make 152lbs?

Although there would likely be financial penalties involved, would Floyd still fight him? And does anybody know if there are any other weight requirements for the day of the fight?
Could it be possible that the Canelo camp have no intention of weakening their man by making him shed those last two pounds?
If this fight was called off it would be a huge negative for boxing. Hopefully it doesn't happen and I don't ever remember a fight of this magnitude being called off.
Fighting a fighter with Mayweather's profile is a once in a career opportunity so you would think every option has been considered with regards to improving Canelo's chances of getting the win.

Seriously he might get some of his purse stopped by that's it.
He'll come in the ring at 12st 3lbs regardless.

Good question, I have been wondering this myself. Taking a financial penalty is one thing but its a gamble because if Floyd refuses to fight then everything goes tits up. I assume they've been doing weight checks and stuff in the lead up to make sure he's on schedule?

He'll make 10 times that amount if he wins, so long term it could be worth it.

I can't believe that.
His purse is only half that.
Why bother fighting to be fined double what you're earning.

His fight purse isn't all he will be getting paid.

Well if he comes in at the weight he's contracted to come in at then he doesnt have to worry about that, does he.

You don't say Hagler.
You can go back into the deepest history of the sport and a penalty for failing to make the weight has never been anything approaching the level of the purse.
Boards and Promotors can control purses - fornicate all to do with them what the fighter gets through image rights and sponsorship.
